    1983 BMW 800cc air head built to shred the mountain roads, it's tuned perfect, the carbs have been rejeted for the header. It started life as a R/80rt & had a full fairing so a lot of weigh has been removed, it's less than 400lbs now and has a great power to weight ratio and real good balance due to the low center of gravity with it's boxer engine and with it's dual Brembo brakes it stops on a dime. Everything has been replaced all wearable rubber boots, seals, bearings, even the rubber trim rings on the tach & speedo, neck bearings, fork seals, new customs shocks, 2in1 exhaust header, new over sized tires and lots of little extras..

    Possibly the most dependable fun to ride bike that BMW made.  It completely gone over by the BMW dealer in Grand Rapids.  New battery new Master cyl, tuned up ready to ride.  I would not be afraid to take this bike anywhere.  I have put 100,000  miles on R65's starting in 1978 and never had a problem.  I would not be selling this bike but I am disabled and have to move to a trike. The bike fell down at a gas station and the odometer broke. So, the mileage has to be listed as unknown  It read 27,000 miles at that time and has not been used much since.  delivery is on you but if you live in Michigan I will bring it to you for free, probably drive it if I can.  I honestly think this is the best open bike ever made and is just plain fun to drive.

    2005 BMW R1200 GS with 27,000 miles.  I have owned this bike for approximately 6 years and I have put 10,000 miles on it.  I purchased the bike in 2009 from a Delta Airlines pilot who had owned it since new and maintained the bike perfectly.  I now own 3 BMW motorcycles and can only ride one at a time, so I am selling this bike.  All fluids were replaced two months ago and I just replaced the battery also.  The bike has newer tires with less than 2,000 miles of light use.  Bike has never been down.  The bike's computer acted up 2 years ago and BMW replaced the computer and installed the most current software.  The bike pulls hard and has impeccable balance and is effortlessly maneuverable.  No wonder it BMW's best selling model.     You are bidding on a nice and very original numbers matching 1978 BMW R 80/7 motorcycle  This motorcycle was pickled (all fluids drained) and stored in a garage in North Florida for over 12 years.  Originally purchased in Germany by owner who was in the military so it has the kilometer speedometer instead of reading miles.  Shows only 16,400 kilometers or 10,160 miles, and the condition and how it runs tells the story.  It is all original except for the battery, tires and front brake hose which I replaced.  It was missing and I added one of the side gas tank BMW emblems which does not have the clear factory coating.  It is very nice with a few scratches and a small crack in the plastic fairing as has been pictured. The inside of the gas tank is in like new condition with its original red coating.  Everything works as it should, the tires are over 10 years old and believed to date back to 2005 but have very little wear.  It could use new mufflers and front shocks are a little stiff.  Needs a good cleaning and detailing.  The bike was first titled in the USA in April 2013 under my name and I am the second owner.  I have owned it for about 3 years and only rode it about 230 kilometers since August 2013.  Very original and nice motorcycle for the serious collector looking for originality and low miles.  Original factory paint and pinstriping.  Missing the tool box and tool kit.  It comes with its original German issue owners manual which is somewhat weathered from humidity but pages are readable.  Any questions please contact George at (305) 562-0526.  Please ask questions prior to bidding or if you want to schedule to look at it.  May consider a buy it now if prior to reaching the reserve price.

    For sale is my like new 2016 BMW R1200RS.  This is the exciting new model that is both a continuation of the BMW RS tradition and a departure from the latest BMW touring bikes.  One would expect a stripped down RT with all the touring amenities and the telelever front suspension, but instead BMW based the RS on the latest R1200R, so a standard fork is fitted to the front and lightness is the key: no motorized adjustable windshield, even the saddlebags are lighter than the touring bikes.  It turns out that at my age, I need to be riding a couch, so I should have gotten an RT.  For all the info you need on this new model, Revzilla has an excellent review. Fully loaded with all available options, the Touring Package, Keyless Ride, GPS prep and Gear Assist Pro.  As options, the bike comes with OEM hard saddlebags and engine guards.  Has 8633 miles, both the 600 mile and 6600 mile services were done at A & S BMW in Roseville, where the bike was first purchased.

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Hero MotoCorps Hires Ex-BMW Designer Braunsperger

Hero MotoCorp has hired former BMW designer Markus Braunsperger to lead the Indian company’s research and development division. Braunsperger once held a similar position with BMW in the early 2000s, developing models such as the K1200S before moving on to BMW’s automobile division where he helped design the 5, 6 and 7 series sedans as well as the X3, X5 and X7 SUVs. Braunsperger will head Hero’s new R&D center in Rajasthan, India, starting in October.
