    This is a 1995 BMW R 1100GS motorcycle.  This bike was a new motorcycle trade in, I am a wholesale dealer.  This is one of the true multipurpose bikes that is available today.  It can cruise at 70 plus or ride the fire roads under most conditions.  This bike appears to never been in any severe off road excursions as there is no rust or corrosion on the bike.   Everything works.  The pipes are not rusted and the wheels are excellent.  The tires are 50%.  The bike has hard bags and a rear luggage carrier.  There is a headlight guard and a windscreen.  The battery has just been replaced by the local bmw dealer so the bike is ready to go.  The paint is excellent with just a few very minor marks on the bike.  This is excellent example that is ready to go.  Fly in and ride home or I my be convinced to deliver for food.  Please call with questions.  John O'Neil  314 378 3109

  • BMW R69S 1966 RestoredBMW R69S 1966 Restored (1966)
    This is a 1966 BMW R69S sport model.  The engine, frame and ID tag ALL have matching numbers 661164 and comes with a title.  This motorcycle has just had a complete restoration by a certified BMW mechanic who has had many years of experience in restorations.  The engine, transmission and final drive (gear ratio 25/8) were completely rebuilt with ALL new bearings and seals.  The engine had the slingers cleaned.  Anything that needed to be replaced was replaced if not within specs.  The carburetors (matching and correct R69S) were cleaned, blasted and rebuilt.  The frame and frontend was bead blasted and powder coated black.  The frame has the tapered steering head bearings installed.  All of the hardware was cad plated and anything that was chromed was rechromed.  It has a NEW wiring harness.  The sheet metal was in very nice condition and needed very minimal work.  It was bead blasted and painted with a single stage black paint and was hand pinstriped like they were originally.  The fuel tank is the large “sport tank” and the inside is perfect.  The rims are the “Weinmann” aluminum and were laced with Buchannan stainless spokes.  The exhaust is NEW reproduction, but is very nice.  The speedometer is not the original one, as I had the original sent out to get rebuilt but that never happened so I got it back.  I will include the original speedometer which is complete but needs to be rebuilt.  I will also leave the current speedometer in the bucket.  This motorcycle runs great and is very smooth and quiet.  It has less than 50 miles on it since the rebuild and restoration.  I really don’t want to sell this bike, but I live on a gravel road and I refuse to ride this beautiful machine down a gravel road.  This is sold “as is” with no warranty.  A non-refundable deposit of $500.00  is due to my PayPal account within 24 hours of the auction end.  The balance is due by wire transfer or bank check upon picking up the motorcycle.  I can assist with loading the bike or any other way that you may need.  Please ask any and all questions…you may call me direct 952.994.8411…Thank you

     1974 BMW R90/6 with Dneper sidecar -  Recently tuned and replaced alternator rotor and battery.  Customer is getting on in years and just doesn't ride enough to keep it.  This is a very nice older rig we built about 10 years ago.  The odometer doesn't work, but we have kept track of the mileage.  It is approximately 54,000.  Oil has been changed regularly and tune ups about every 1 1/2 years.  The triple trees have been upgraded to Perry's sidecar triple tree.  It has a steering dampner from bike to sidecar. This rig is ready to go just about anywhere.  If you are local, or you want to fly in from out of State and have not driven a sidecar rig before, we will give you sidecar lessons.  Very rarely see a BMW rig in this price range.      Many after market extras.  New windshield, leather seats, Jessie Bags, crash bar, new grips, LED dash lamps.  Well maintained and runs great.  Overall great condition.  There are some very minor scratches on the tank, and some rust in the joints of the handlebars.  The seat is aftermarket leather and it is a little worn, but is still in relativity good shape and firm. The bike has been dealer (have receipts)//user maintained and runs great there are no mechanical problems.  The tires have quite a bit of tread left.  I am the second owner and have the original owners manual a two keys.  Had BMW dealer perform thorough inspection at 57,434 miles.  59,561 miles now. BMW Reports Q2 2014 Financial Results

BMW reported an 11.2% growth in motorcycle sales revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, 2014, thanks to a new best-ever quarterly record of 42,259 motorcycles sold. The record sales quarter also led to a record of 70,978 motorcycles sold in the first half of 2014, the most motorcycles BMW has sold in a six-month period in the company’s 90-year history in the business. The second quarter sales result represents a 5.1% increase on the 40,209 motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year.

BMW HP4 Gets New ABS that Works in Corners

BMW has developed a new anti-lock braking system designed to work when a motorcycle is leaned over into a corner. The new ABS Pro system will initially be offered as a retrofit upgrade on the BMW HP4 sportbike, but it’s likely only a matter of time before the technology becomes available on other models. The ABS Pro uses the same sensors already employed by BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension, both of which are already available on the HP4.

Brough Superior to Make Moto2 Debut at Silverstone

The Taylormade Brough Superior racebike will make its Moto2 racing debut at the British Grand Prix at the U.K.’s Silverstone circuit. Backed by insurance company Bennetts, the one-off entry will feature British Supersport racer Luke Mossey riding the Taylormade Carbon 2 racebike. Led by California-based but British-bred Paul Taylor and John Keogh, the Taylormade project was started to rethink the spark the impending relaunch of the Brough Superior brand as well as to explore new ways of designing prototype race machines.

Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.

BMW is updating its big six-cylinder touring bikes with traction control as standard equipment and a number of new optional add-ons including keyless remote ignition. Previously available as part of BMW’s factory-installed Safety Package option, the Dynamic Traction Control system will now be standard on all 2015 K1600GT and K1600GTL models. The system continuously monitors rear wheel traction during acceleration, stepping in when it senses excessive wheel spin.
