I acquired the bike in its stock form and replaced the front master cylinder with an aftermarket unit, as well as the front brake line with a new steel braided unit to replace the worn OEM rubber line. 1982 Honda CB900F Supersport Clean, modified supersport, FCR's, CBR wheels etc. etc. I have owned this bike since 2005. In 2008 I tore it completely down to the bare frame. The frame was media blasted and powder coated, along with a number of the bolt-on items; rear set backing plates, taillight mount etc. While the bike had always run well, I gave the engine a quick overhaul while it was out of the frame. The engine received a valve lap, new timing chain tensioners and a complete OEM gasket set including new head and base gaskets and new valve stem seals. A set of CB1100F cams were fitted during reassembly as the 1100F cams have a slightly hotter profile than the 900F units. A larger aftermarket oil coiler and braided oil cooler lines were also fitted. The bike was restored in 1994 when the oem bodywork was still available from Honda. It was all replaced, all the aluminum was removed and polished, the top end was redone with the big bore kit, and then it was parked inside climate controlled till now. Up for auction is 1983 Honda CB1100F....This a true garage find...It came from an owner who purchased it in 1984 & parked it 2-3 yrs ago I was told...Shows 29k miles on it...& is NON-Running...Details are as follows.. 1985 Honda CB-125, 100 MPG, Red, Good Condition (1985)
I am selling my 1985 Honda CB-125, It only has 4,493 actual miles on it, It is in really good shape for an old bike, It is all stock except I removed the long ugly turn signals and put on some really nice short small ones, I Have always used Mobil one full synthetic oil in it, There are no oil leaks and it does not burn oil or smoke, The rear tire is good but the front tire is getting pretty well worn out, The bike is very dependable, All the lights work, The speedometer and odometer both work good, The brakes work good, The clutch works good, The motor starts & runs good, The transmission (5-speed) shifts great and does not have any problems, There is no rust out in the muffler, It is very solid and very quiet but there are a few small dents but has good chrome, The wheels are very nice with no rust, The paint on the bike is good, But there are scratches and dents on the gas tank, Also the front & rear fenders have some scratches in the paint also, The bike will run 65 MPH but that is all she has, Honda advertized this bike to get 100 MPG when new, I believe it, I hardly ever have to put gas in it, Also this bike has never been left outside since I have had it, I love this bike and hate to get rid of it, But I just got a Harley Trike and need the extra room to park it, I live in Winchester, Illinois, 62694, You are welcome to come and look at it and ride it before bidding if you would like to. Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
