The Honda CM400 was a street bike produced by the Honda Motor Company from 1979 to 1982, part of a series of motorcycles with the prefix 'CM' using various engine capacities. Models included the CM400A (Automatic), CM400C (Custom), CM400E (Economy) and CM400T (Tach). The Honda CM series all generally resembled the older-style flat-seat bikes from the 60s and 70s, with the exception of a slightly raised passenger area seat and small plastic fairings for the battery and electrical. 1980 Honda CM400 Cafe Racer (1980)
For sale is my 1980 Honda CM400. It started its life has a CM400E but somewhere along the line, someone added the comstar wheels, front disc brake and a tach. The bike is in fair condition but does not run right now. The fuel tank needs to be cleaned out and the carbs rebuilt (carbs clogged). The engine has a small oil leak. All of the electrical items work and the tires are new (less then 100 miles on them). There's also a new battery installed (needs re-charge) The bike shows 31,215 miles but I'm unsure if this is correct. The bike has a clear Delaware title and is registered until 9-2015. I have an original air box and side covers. The bike is being sold "as is", there is no warranty. Local pick up only or buyer will need to arrange shipping. This 45 year old Honda has a three speed transmission with a automatic clutch. As you can see from the pictures, it has no dents, there are some scratches and some paint chips, but it still looks great. The chrome is clean and brilliant. My 4 grandsons rode this often and it is still super smooth, strong, quick, and easy to start. This is a very nice little 3 speed automatic cycle. It has new throttle cable, new tires front and rear, it will start first kick every time (I could almost guareentee it) sounds great, no smoke at all, I believe the seat was redone at one time and is missing the front brake, although the back brake works good. We purchased this Super 90 from the original owner in Bothell, Washington who owned this bike for 42 years, since he was 13 years old. It is a Japanese market machine that was brought back by a Merchant Mariner family friend in 1968 for the owner, hence the KPM speedometer. This Super 90 was restored by Gary Sheckler of Issaquah, Washington who was a Honda mechanic and service manager for over 40 years. The Candy Blue paint was painted by Ed Carlson of Tucson, Arizona. Pedrosa Staying with Repsol Honda Through 2016 MotoGP Season
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Honda has signed Dani Pedrosa to a two-year contract extension that will see the Spanish racer stay with its factory MotoGP team through the 2016 season. By the end of the contract, Pedrosa will have spent a whole decade racing for Honda in the premier class to go with another five seasons in the 125cc and 250cc classes. The signing follows a similar two-year contract extension for Pedrosa’s teammate, the reigning World Champion Marc Marquez while over in the Yamaha camp, Valentino Rossi also recently signed a two-year contract extension, making 2016 the year to watch for silly season drama.

Mon, 07 Jul 2014Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.
Virginia Tech Bolt To Race At NJMP, July 12-13
Mon, 07 Jul 2014The Virginia Tech Bolt e-bike racing team will compete in the July 12-13 zero emissions road race at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville NJ. This race is part of the eMotoRacing series, which runs in conjunction with AHRMA. The 96 volt student-built prototype racebike will compete in the eSuperSport class against a field of production based Brammo Empulses. The Bolt Team is no stranger to competition, as it has previous experience racing in the TTXGP series in 2012.

The two wins moved Hayes to the top of the championship standings from third as the three-time champion put himself in good position to win a fourth. Mon, 23 Jun 2014Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes won both races at Misano to stretch his championship lead to 39 points as we pass the halfway mark of the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The reigning champion scored his third double-win round of the season while his teammate Loris Baz added a pair of second-place finishes. David Salom on the Kawasaki’s factory EVO entry was also the top rider in the new sub-class for both races to top off a strong weekend for the Team Green.
