    For Sale is my 1978 KZ1000 LTD in very good condition runs strong very fast.Paint is original and in very nice condition , the Clutch and Transmission are perfectly smooth. The bike has many new parts including, Regulator/Rectifier,Horn,Hand Grips,new Mirrors, OEM Ignition Advancer,New OEM Starter Ignition Headlight Switch, Spark Plugs and Caps,Point &Condensor, Mac 4 into 2 Exhaust, and a brand new Interstate sealed case Battery.The Head and Cylinders have been serviced, Honed new Rings, Head has been serviced wirh all new oil seals, Cam Chain Idler sprockets, Idler assembly,Tensioner, and all new rubber dampers.The Carburetors are completely cleaned rebuilt and have been modified with Dynajet Stage 3 to accommodate the Pods.     1978 Kawasaki Kz1000 LTD.  This is a super clean, low mile (9,246), and original bike in excellent condition.  Starts, runs, drives, and stops just as it should.  Engine is smooth, quiet, and powerful.  Does not smoke or leak oil.  Original paint is shiny in excellent condition.  Chrome is also excellent.  Seat has no holes or tears.  All electrical items work correctly.  I believe the only non-original part the on bike is the front tire. An excellent example a nearly 40yr. old bike that was bought new here in town and has been well taken care of and not altered in any way.  If you have any questions or would like additional pictures please let me know.

New Metzler tires ,chrome four into one header super trap exhaust.front header pipes are not rusty or dented up they are very nice. Derale cooler,also comes with original stock air cleaner and rubber collars.Some white paint missing on the 650 emblems a few very small rock chips  otherwise original factory paint in great shape  a small amount of paint bubbling on the right control [see pic] taillight has a hairline crack hard to see in the picture starts runs and drives  well above good condition superclean classic no corrosion on the wheels all the chrome is in great shape.

    this is a high quality restoration  for some reason the camera doesn't catch an effect that the paint has, it needs to be seen in person, I will try to list everything that has been done. dealer installed steering stabilizer and oil cooler, Bridgestone battleax tires rims converted to tubeless and powder coated, all balls wheel and steering  bearings, machined rotors and new pads, rebuilt calipers and rear master cylinder, new old stock front master cylinder assembly, Goodrich ss brake lines and fittings, dot 5 fluid, kyb  reservoir shocks with lighter 1 up springs, progressive fork springs new fork seals and dust shields,  tarozzi fork brace and rear sets, kerker megaphone with ceramic coated head pipe and comp.baffle  xoring chain and sprockets, powder coated calipers frame fork legs  engine side covers and valve cover, dyna ignition and coils, msd wires, agm battery, solid state rectifier, web 3x cams degreed in, lots of porting work, stock pistons, 34mm mikuni  flat slides, k&n super pods pingle  petcock, polished ss and chrome hardware euro badges. this runs and drives like a dream, it pufs a little oil when it has been sitting  a week or so most likely old valve seals, the engine work was done in the late 80s before I bought it.

    Hard to find 1978 Kawasaki Z1R, Kawasaki's entry into the Superbike war of 1978.  Good running, well kept bike.  Bike was painted black sometime in the 1980's and the stripe kit to duplicate the 1980 Z1R paint job was added later.  There are small nicks and dings but is still shiny and presentable.  Seat is cover is a very nice newer duplicate.  Exhaust is a Vance and Hines 4 into 1 that's a few years old and in very good condition.  Not real loud but has a nice sound.  Bike runs good, tank is clean inside and it has no oil or gas leaks.  Tires are older but serviceable.  Original kickstarter lever that belongs under the seat is gone and stock windshield was replaced 2 years ago.  Have the little chrome cover that goes over the seat lock but the spring is missing.  Fresh oil change and new battery.  Everything works but the fuel gauge.  Overall a good rider quality bike or a good candidate for full restoration.  Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.  Please check shipping costs before you bid.  On Oct-03-16 at 16:54:47 PDT, seller added the following information: It has been brought to my attention that the tachometer may not be original.  That could be the case.  There could be other items replaced, repaired or missing too as this is a 38 year old bike that I have only owned a short time.  This is not being advertised as a completely original or pristine bike.

    Published almost everywhere, It starts as a 1978 KZ650 where the cylinders have been bored and sleeved to 830cc with a MTC big bore kit from the late 70s. The upper case has been machined as well. This was a complete case split rebuilt documented with pictures (uploaded on my website) The turbo kit is from ATP American Turbo Pak (ATP branded intake manifold, turbocharger RayJay F40 and exhaust manifold and pipe), just like the one that equipped the Kawasaki Z1R-TC back in 1978-79.

    Here is a very nice low mileage bike that I picked up some time ago.  When I purchased the bike it needed a little bit of attention so here is what I've done to it: It has a new seat, new rear grab bar, and had a professional paint job put on it that is fantastic- looks awesome! It has complete airbox system and owner's manual.  I replaced the header with a set of very nice stock exhaust from a '79 KZ 1000, they look great on the bike.  The bike runs GREAT, all electrical functions are working properly, good brakes and tires.  The pictures don't due this bike justice, it is absolutely beautiful!  All the chrome is in exellent condtion.  If you have any questions please feel free to call me.   Dave 517-242-7780

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Z-Series, the Greens have prepared colorways for two families of motorcycles that replicate the look and feel of the legendary Kawasaki Z1 from 1972. At the same time, the color and graphic schemes of the neo-retro motorcycles - Z900RS and Z650RS - will be as close as possible to those of the historical Z1 model, and the Z900 and Z650 street will receive a creatively redesigned coloring, referring, nevertheless, to the roots of the Z-series.

In addition to the upgraded basic version, the SE version with semi-active suspension is presented. For the 2019 model year, the asphalt tourer, built around a 1,043cc (120 hp and 102 Nm) inline-four, received an electronic throttle, cruise control, KTRC traction control, and Sport, Road, Rain and Rider power modes to choose from. Moreover, the introduction of the IMU inertial sensor, according to Japanese designers, made the electronics work more delicately than before.

The Japanese magazine Young Machine has published a hypothetical (or, who knows, very likely) image of the new generation Kawasaki Ninja 250, which will appear at the end of next year or in 2018. The render is intriguing: according to it, the younger “ninja” can get a “birdcage” frame and a “changeling” fork.

Kawasaki revealed a new cruiser model equipped with the 649cc parallel-Twin engine from the Ninja 650. The result is an entry-level cruiser with sportbike-derived power retailing for $6999 ($7399 with ABS). The fuel-injected engine is tuned for smooth power delivery, with revised camshaft profiles, intake funnel length, throttle body spacer and air intake for better low- and mid-range power delivery.
