Hard to find 1978 Kawasaki Z1R, Kawasaki's entry into the Superbike war of 1978. Good running, well kept bike. Bike was painted black sometime in the 1980's and the stripe kit to duplicate the 1980 Z1R paint job was added later. There are small nicks and dings but is still shiny and presentable. Seat is cover is a very nice newer duplicate. Exhaust is a Vance and Hines 4 into 1 that's a few years old and in very good condition. Not real loud but has a nice sound. Bike runs good, tank is clean inside and it has no oil or gas leaks. Tires are older but serviceable. Original kickstarter lever that belongs under the seat is gone and stock windshield was replaced 2 years ago. Have the little chrome cover that goes over the seat lock but the spring is missing. Fresh oil change and new battery. Everything works but the fuel gauge. Overall a good rider quality bike or a good candidate for full restoration. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. 2014 AMA Supercross – Las Vegas Results
Mon, 05 May 2014Ryan Villopoto capped off his fourth-consecutive AMA Supercross championship with an impressive victory at the season finale at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider clinched the title at last week’s New Jersey round so he didn’t have to prove anything in Vegas. But he did, leading all 20 laps and winning by nearly 14 seconds.

Michael Dunlop, of the famous Dunlop racing family, took the victory at the Royal London 360 Superstock race, giving him his third win of the 2013 Isle of Man TT. The latest win gives Dunlop six in his career on the Mountain Course, tying him with such noted names as Geoff Duke, Jimmie Guthrie, Jim Redman and John Surtees.
