1971 HONDA CT70 TRAIL BIKE (1971)
A very clean Honda CT70 vintage trail bike that has been in storage for quite some time but fresh gas and a plug cleaning and it fired right up for us. Probably could use a good tune up and battery charge but it is all complete and very clean. It has a 3 speed transmission and was built in 9/1971. Paint and chrome are excellent as well as the seat and tires. I bought her many years ago and was told by the seller that in 1971 not all states issued titles (don't know if he was fibbing) so I never received one at the time of sale but I will be selling the bike with a bill of sale. The odometer shows under 1390 miles. The horn doesn't work and I haven't looked into its repair. Local pickup only or buyer "arranges and pays" for shipping in the u.s. only. 1972 Honda CT70H 4 speed No Reserve (1972)
For Auction a 1972 Honda CT70 HK1 candy yellow special. Got this bike a few months ago, decent shape for its age. Has brand new Briggstone tires and tubes, muffler, cylnder, piston and rings, Honda side cover, carburator. I have all the original parts as shown in the picture that will be included. After installing new parts and getting it running a couple weeks ago, took it on several test rides, ran and shifted ok, went over a bump in the road, stalled and wouldn't restart. Found out it is no longer getting spark, don't know why, maybe just a loose wire or bad connection. Also has other issues and needs other parts like cables, headlight lens is cracked, left handlebar is bent, has some dings, chips, light surface rust here and there. Engine side cover has a few chips where the wire goes into the stater from someone using a screwdriver to pry off the flywheel. Battery is dead so don't know if the lights or horn work. HONDA CT 70 (1974)
FOR SALE is my little Honda CT 70. It has ---- miles on it, clear SD title. I have removed the turn signals both front and rear. I have them in a box that goes with it. The reason is,,,,,, I lower the handle bars, shut the gas off, drain the carb, fold up the foot pegs, and load it in my airplane. I take the rear seats out and lay it on its side, then I have wheels wherever I go. This is the 4th one I have had. The turn signal and horn button do not work, but I have a genuine Honda replacement in the bag for it. This little baby is in my shop in Kadoka,SD, which is 90 miles east of Rapid City SD, right on Interstate 90, exit 150. I can hold it as long as needed for the buyer or someone representing the buyer in my shop, so there is no hurry for a pick up. I am a 76 year old man and as far as I can tell this one is all original and genuine. Not repainted or modified in any way. It is the best one I have ever owned. Pedrosa Staying with Repsol Honda Through 2016 MotoGP Season
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Honda has signed Dani Pedrosa to a two-year contract extension that will see the Spanish racer stay with its factory MotoGP team through the 2016 season. By the end of the contract, Pedrosa will have spent a whole decade racing for Honda in the premier class to go with another five seasons in the 125cc and 250cc classes. The signing follows a similar two-year contract extension for Pedrosa’s teammate, the reigning World Champion Marc Marquez while over in the Yamaha camp, Valentino Rossi also recently signed a two-year contract extension, making 2016 the year to watch for silly season drama.

Mon, 07 Jul 2014Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.

This race is part of the eMotoRacing series, which runs in conjunction with AHRMA. The 96 volt student-built prototype racebike will compete in the eSuperSport class against a field of production based Brammo Empulses. The Bolt Team is no stranger to competition, as it has previous experience racing in the TTXGP series in 2012.
