This motorcycle runs like a watch, and always starts on the first kick. This motorcycle has newly rebuilt Engine using all Triumph Parts. The transmission was also rebuilt using factory parts. The bike has new wheels with S.S. Spokes, and as you can see in the picture they were Made in England. The motorcycle has the Original Tank and Fenders. The bike received a New Carburetor and Magneto. This bike has Avon Tires, and they are the correct tires for the bike. The Tachometer and Speedometer were rebuilt by Nisonger Instrument of New York. 1971 Triumph TR6R Classic Vintage 650cc Motorcycle (1971)
I have a vintage classic Triumph TR6R 650cc motorcycle. I got it about a year and a half ago and got it into a somewhat decent, safe, rideable condition. When I got it there was a lot wrong and I've done quite a bit of work to get it to where it is good to ride. I hate to sell it since I love riding it but my daughter has had some medical problems and I need to help her out. Most everything that was replaced as new was around a year or so ago. I've put almost 3500 miles on it since so there will be some wear for the new items. Bike is currently registered as an Antique and has a clear transferable title in my name. Frame and engine are matching numbers. Details both good and bad. As I said this is a rider and will make a good project for someone or just take it out and enjoy it. Designed by Roy Norton and Tom Kasher who were on a placement at a design studio, I get the impression the pair are into motorcycle and not just designers.
Twin-Engined Triumph Rocket Streamliner To Challenge Motorcycle Land-Speed Record At Bonneville
Thu, 29 Aug 2013The 1,000-horsepower Castrol Rocket is currently undergoing testing for its upcoming assault on the land speed record of 376.156 mph, set in 2010, by Rocky Robinson with the Ack Attack streamliner. The goal: a 400-mph-plus record-breaking run. The 25-foot long x 2-foot wide x 3-foot high streamliner was constructed in cooperation by Hot Rod Conspiracy and Carpenter Racing and will compete in the Division C (Streamlined) – Type V (5) Spark Ignition, Over 2,000cc to 3,000cc class. Powering the Rocket are two heavily modified Triumph Rocket III engines. Each Carpenter Racing built engine was reduced from 2,294cc to 1,485cc (2,970cc total) to meet the 3,000cc maximum total displacement class rule requirement. While piston size remains the same stock 4-inch bore, stroke was reduced from 3.75 inches to 2.4 inches and redline increased from 5,750 rpm to 9,000+ rpm. There’s also one Garrett GT2876R ball bearing, liquid-cooled turbocharger per engine.
