    1979 Harley Davidson FLH, 1200cc, 74 cubic inch. Frame off restored motor in 1995.  The second owner purchased this motorcycle in 1995 in an exclusive auction.  He rode the motorcycle, stripped it, painted it, added chrome parts, and stored the motorcycle in his family room for over 15 years.  He commented that he purchased the bike from the original owner.  Apparently, the original owner fell off of the bike within the first few hundred miles and then stored the bike until 1995.  I purchased the bike in August of 2010 from the second owner.  The second owner believes the mileage to be original. I rode the bike about 1 year.  The engine has good torque, sounds great, and runs smooth.  As seen in the pictures, most of the parts are original.  In the case that this is a true low mile bike, I do not want to tick the odometer past the 4,000 mile mark, and I do not have proper storage for such a nice motorcycle.  As seen in the pictures, this is a super clean and extremely detailed motorcycle.  This motorcycle is a perfect candidate to return to factory FLH form and specifications.  Some of the original parts have been exchanged with chrome parts.

          I have decided to trim my collection a bit and offer this exceptional 1979 Harley Davidson FLH for sale.    It was purchaced from Gowanda Harley Davidson on March 31st, 1979 by a gentleman from the Buffalo NY area.   I bought it from the estate several years ago and talked to the mans best friend who went with him to pick the new bike up.   It has always been serviced by Gowanda Harley and they remember that the owner took exceptional care of the bike.   It was always stored in a climate controlled garage and has never been layed down or even scratched.   All I have done to the FLH is change the fluids and filter (has original type drop in filter) and polish it.    Has only been out for a couple shows and one bike night.              It has 12,987 original miles on it and is ready to show.    The photos don't show the tour pack but it comes with the bike and is in the same pristine condition.   There are a few FLH's left out there but very few unmolested,low mileage originals.  Own a piece of Harley history from the AMF era.            PLEASE ask questions before you bid as I value my feedback and want you to be happy with your purchase.     Very nice bike here,clean and tight,I am the 3rd,and 5th owner.As 3rd owner I bought it in 2005 with 16,000 miles on it,sold it shortly after to a friend who kept it in great shape,and provided me with maintenance receipts after I bought it back from her.It now has 26,000 on it.Starts,runs,and rides strong.It is mostly stock,except for the pogo seat,and taller handlebars (which are very comfortable) and a Daytona Twin Tech single fire ignition.It is a 1340,80 cubic inches,.Tires will get you by for another few thousand miles,as will the chain,and sprockets. I just put a new set of Fishtail slip on mufflers,and it "sounds like a Harley"!.It has an S&S E  carb and is a real fun machine to ride.The paint is mostly good,although some "orange peel" on the back of the saddlebags.Everything works on it,but feel free to email me with questions.

In a misallocation of funds Harley-Davidson recently spent an untold buttload of money proving something men have known for years: That women who ride motorcycles are sexier and better between the sheets than women who don’t ride. Common responses from male motorcyclists to the press release were: Duh; Tell me something I didn’t already know; Can I be a recruiter? Meant to entice non-riding females into the Harley-Davidson army by pimping the Bar & Shield’s website, www.h-d.com/women, the press release was peppered with effeminate catchphrases such as “physical intimacy, “communication,” and “improves relationships” but the basal message is one of female motorcyclists being sexier, happier and more confident than their non-riding counterparts.

Titled “The Sound of the Festive Season”, the ad spot was produced by U.K agency Big Communications for Harley-Davidson Europe Middle East and Africa. According to AdWeek, the ad was conceived, sold and produced in just 72 hours.

The 76-year-old police motorcycle was found disassembled at the old headquarters after several decades in storage. According to MLive, the police department attempted to restore the motorcycle in 1974 but never got around to completing it.
