2002 Harley-Davidson Softail (2002)
This is an AMAZING Harley. I am only selling it because, as I get older and as a single father, I am getting more into cars (have several projects going) and need the money to finish those. This bike gets attention everywhere it goes. Every nut and bolt visible has been chromed, as have the front forks, the control panel, fender guards... if you can see it on the bike then it's shiny. The bike has 7475 miles on it, I barely ride it and never have in the rain. The paint job is gorgeous - done by Copperhead Graphics - and the pictures don't do it justice. The bike has a massive 1450 c, fuel injected engine with a power commander system which lets you tune the performance. It will fly (Note: for legal purposes I must say the bike does not REALLY fly but it is very fast)! The previous owner lowered the bike 3" front and back so it has a very aggressive stance, though I'm 6'3" tall and never feel like I'm sitting too low so I never raised it. I installed the LED system on it, and it really pops at night. It's only adhesive so it can come off if you desire. The tail lights are LEDs inside the fender frame and, as you can see, it has a custom plate holder with light. The sound... this bike has straight pipes and they are throaty. It's not deafening unless you start it in a small space, but people will hear you coming and going. The bike currently has the original, comfy Softail seat on it but also comes with a La Pera solo seat (as seen in some pics) with the optional "buddy" pad. It also has a chromed back rest included for more passenger comfort. Also included with the bike is a box of original parts (another instrument cluster, extra forks, etc) which I haven't thoroughly gone through. I literally just stuck them in the garage when I got the bike a few years ago because it needed nothing. Still doesn't! It's a beauty. The bike is garage-kept, stays on a trickle charger, and I start it weekly to bi-weekly to make sure the seals stay lubed and to keep things flowing. Unfortunately there are a few small scratches on the back fender which might be able to buff out, mostly where the rear seat screws in, but two a little lower. That's the ONLY negative thing I can say about this remarkable machine. If you buy it, I will help you as much as I can to get it shipped to you, but would prefer it be picked up by you. 2002 Harley Davidson Softail - Night Train - 1450cc 10,700 miles This bike is dark! It is unique and will stand out in the crowd. By looking at the mileage it should tell you that I unfortunately have no time to ride. I want to find an owner that will take advantage of what this bike has to offer. This bike has many extras including Sampson Big Guns Exhaust (wrapped), custom front wheel, lowering suspension kit, drag bars, hand grips, mirrors, Drag tac gauge, turn signals, head lamp housing, Kuryakyn lighted gas gauge, hand control levers, coil / horn / voltage covers, spark plug wires, leather tank panel, axel nut covers, and air cleaner cover. Also included with the bike will be the H-D motorcycle cover. The motorcycle was painted and powder coated flat black to bring back the true Night Train look and feel. I have the TItle in hand. This bike has always been maintained properly, garage kept, covered, and stored off the ground. As noted, there are a few minor things with the bike that you may or may not want to fix. The front right turn signal does work but it tends to "slides"/turns inwards (like it needs to be tightened). Also, the light bulb on the tac does not work; however, the tac does work. Coolest Night Train or Softail, for that matter, you will ever see and affectionately known as the TUXEDO TORPEDO. Originally purchased as a 100 anniversary model in black from Charleston HD, I bought it from the first owner in 2006 . It had approximately 6K miles on it at the time and was bone stock with the exception of a Mikuni HSR42. I frame-offed the bike in 2012 at 55K and did the top end at the same time. Also went through the tranny to make sure it was tight and sorted out. Both were running in full operating order with good compression. I just wanted to freshen everything up and add some polished heads for sparkle. Here's a partial list of work done to it: JE racing pistons and hasting rings, 10 to 1 compression Cylinders bored and honed 10+ Edlebrock polished heads with oversized manley valves installed at the factory S&S cam gear drive kit Mikuni HSR 42 carb hand polished Andrews 37G gear drive cams Screamin eagle adjustable push rods New HD lifters All motor hardware from Diamond engineering, polished stainless La briola foot clutch conversion BDL EVO9 with powdered motor plate, engine turned guard and polished/ano'd pulleys/pressure plate. Dyno tuned after the rebuild brake-in miles were put on and it laid down a respectable 94HP and 105 TQ. I'm super obsessive about my bikes and only use the very best. No expense spared on this ride. AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

At the time of filming, the FatBoy was one of Harley-Davidson’s newest models, and the one now in the Museum’s permanent collection was ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1991 action classic. “Terminator 2 is an iconic film and a celebrated piece of pop culture history,” said Jim Fricke, Curatorial director of the Harley-Davidson Museum.

The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.

Ohio Man to be Buried on 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide

To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide.
