Harley-Davidson Softail description

Coolest Night Train or Softail, for that matter, you will ever see and affectionately known as the TUXEDO TORPEDO. Originally purchased as a 100 anniversary model in black from Charleston HD,  I bought it from the first owner in 2006 .   It had approximately 6K miles on it at the time and was bone stock with the exception of a Mikuni HSR42.  I frame-offed the bike in 2012 at 55K and did the top end at the same time.  Also went through the tranny to make sure it was tight and sorted out.  Both were running in full operating order with good compression.  I just wanted to freshen everything up and add some polished heads for sparkle.  Here's a partial list of work done to it:

JE racing pistons and hasting rings, 10 to 1 compression
Cylinders bored and honed 10+
Edlebrock polished heads with oversized manley valves installed at the factory
S&S cam gear drive kit
Mikuni HSR 42 carb hand polished
Andrews 37G gear drive cams
Screamin eagle adjustable push rods
New HD lifters
All motor hardware from Diamond engineering, polished stainless
La briola foot clutch conversion
BDL EVO9 with powdered motor plate, engine turned guard and polished/ano'd pulleys/pressure plate.
Hand painted drive belt by Vince
Recent barnett clutch plates,  Heavy duty
All braided cables from Russel or Motion pro
PM polished 4 piston brake calipers w HD floating rotors
Russel brake lines
All chrome plating completed by Spacecoast Plating in Melbourne FL (the best)
Ride wright 80 spoke (polished stainless spokes, chrome hoop) front wheel
Front lowers shaved to lose the front fender
New Timkin neck and swingarm bearings
New progressive front end racing springs
Rear chrome progressive shocks lowered
frame shaved of excess tabs, molded and flaked with House of Kolor metajewels
Steering dampner
One off paint job designed by me with silver leaf inlay and crazy details- HOK frost white over PPG black base
JB classic black ano front master cylinder and throttle boss
Garage Leathers solo bag
Seat designed by me from old punk band T.S.O.L. album cover "Dance With Me"
Tooled by Kruger Customs and assembled by Bitchen Stitchen in Colorado
Recent Michelin commanders front and rear
Recent HD battery
burns NO OIL- always the best maintenance and no expense spared

Bike handles like its on rails- tight and fast and gets major respect from those who knows what it is.  Have most of the parts to convert it back to foot shift.  It can easily be done in around an hour for those unsure about riding with a jockey shift.  BUY NOW and I will convert it back for the new owner at no charge should you elect to run standard foot shift.  Absolutely needs nothing.  Dyno tuned after the rebuild brake-in miles were put on and it laid down a respectable 94HP and 105 TQ.   I'm super obsessive about my bikes and only use the very best.  No expense spared on this ride.  Getting deeper into cars and have other projects pending so its time to see her go to a new owner.   Don't ask me if this will hurt your back, or if you can add your tour pack to it off your super cool bagger or if I will repaint it with flaming satanic unicorns.  In essence don't waste your time or mine with trivial bullshit.  Serious bike for a serious rider.  Bike is sold as is.  I've done my best to describe it accurately.  Though its nice, there are a few slight imperfections here and there.  Pix reflect the overall condition.  Transportation is buyers responsibility.  Deposit due in 48 hours after close, with balance due in cash at pick up.  Contact me with all legit questions through messaging with your number and I'll shoot you back a text.  This auction is open to US bidders only.  Please read payment terms prior to bidding.  Low feedback bidders need to contact me prior to bidding or your bid will be cancelled.

Thanks for looking.

Legends Ride Stops Sturgis Traffic

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today.  As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).
