    We have a 1985 Yamaha Virago XV700 for sale , shaft driven , fun to ride , plenty of power , it starts and runs however it needs some minor work. The left side crank case cover gasket needs replacement (leaks oil) , the gasket it needs sells for less then $10 on e-bay and is a fairly easy fix. The battery may need replaced as well.

     This is my 1985 Yamaha Virago xv1000, its been garage kept, its very clean. I was told it has low compression in one cylinder and the carburetor leaks, I'm not a mechanic so I'm not exactly sure what all that means, I had a gas shot off put on it to keep the carburetor from dripping and otherwise have had no problems. It has some minor cosmetic damage on the exhaust pipes, and some of the chrome is "peeling", and a crack in the seat.

The device will probably be called the Tricity 300 and will presumably be powered by a 292cc engine from the 28hp XMax 300 maxi-scooter. The rival of the BMW F800 GS/F 800 GS Adventure and the promising KTM 790 Adventure borrowed the 689cc inline-two from the Yamaha MT-07 and XSR700 (on these bikes it develops 74.8 hp and 68 Nm).

The motorcycle used the YZ450F motocross engine layout with the cylinder turned back and the intake and exhaust turned 180 degrees. The engine is housed in a new aluminum frame based on the aforementioned YZ450F.
