Massimo Tamburini: 1943 – 2014
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Massimo Tamburini, creator of some of the industry’s most iconic motorcycle designs, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70. Tamburini was diagnosed with the disease last November and underwent chemotherapy treatment but passed away April 6. Earning renown for designing motorcycles such as the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, Tamburini’s name will be forever linked with those two companies, as well as Cagiva and helped found Bimota (Tamburini is the “Ta” in the company’s name.) 2012 MV Agusta Brutale 1090R Announced – Formerly Canadian Exclusive Model Expands to Other Markets
Thu, 22 Sep 2011MV Agusta is adding another new member to its Brutale line with a lower spec version of the 1090RR. The 2012 MV Agusta Brutale 1090R joins the 1090RR, 990R and the 920 in the Italian manufacturer’s lineup. MV Agusta’s Canadian importer Motovan had been offering its own version of the Brutale 1090R since April as a Canadian exclusive model instead of the 920 version, but the new 1090R will be available in other markets.

Thu, 30 Jan 2014Late last year it was announced that MV Agusta would partner with Yakhnich Motorsport and field two F3 675 triples in World Supersport and one F4 1000 in the premier World Superbike class. In this video, team rider Jules Cluzel, who is stepping back into World Supersport after one season in Superbike, puts the F3 675 triple through its paces during testing at Portimao. The video is composed entirely of on-board shots both in front of and behind Cluzel, which, admittedly, doesn’t always produce the most dramatic video.
