BMW Other description

2012 BMW R1200GS, OMG! This is a TRULY AMAZING R1200GS. We have never had a GS come in with such an amazing selection of top of the line highly desirable accessories and improvements, or with so few miles and such a short time in the owner???s possession. The story behind this bike is that its only owner had a great adventure planned which is why it???s so exceptionally well equipped. He purchased the GS then accessorized it and logged enough miles to complete the break-in service and another few thousand miles so he knew the bike???s in???s and out???s.

And then life changed. The trip was cancelled and distraught is a gross understatement as to how he felt but this couldn???t be changed so he brought the bike to Bob???s and we bought it. Now it???s your turn! ???His loss is your gain??? sort of thing. So sit back and read all the stuff this bike has because you may not easily see it all clearly in these photos even though we???ve made a good attempt at showing it all off:

But if that???s not enough for you, there???s still more, the bike came equipped from BMW with the following: Triple Black Paint Package, Spoked Wire Tubeless Black Anodized Rims, ABS on Dual Floating Disk Brakes up front & Single Disc on rear, Enduro ASC, Chrome Exhaust, Heated Grips, On Board Computer and Hand Protectors. This bike looks new because it is darn close to still being new with the BMW factory warranty in effect until April 28, 2015 with the remainder of the 36,000 mile limitation, whichever comes first!

All services since new were performed by an authorized BMW dealership and the full annual service was performed just 100 miles and two months ago so all we had to do was run it through the Maryland State Inspection process and test ride it to determine it clearly qualifies for our ADVANTAGE CERTIFIED Program. It comes with two BMW keys, the BMW factory owner???s manual and the stock tool set. This bike is a solid 10 in all possible ways we could rate it, cosmetically or mechanically and we believe it would be impossible to find a better equipped, better valued, slightly used or pre-owned R1200GS anywhere in the states of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania or Washington, DC (did I just give DC statehood?) and probably the other 46 states we???ve not listed. Snooze and you lose big time so get in here fast or at least tell your buddies it???s here.

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.

2011-2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Recalled in Canada

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.

BMW “Persistent Erection” Lawsuit Dismissed

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

The Superior Court of San Francisco has dismissed lawsuits against BMW and Corbin-Pacific Inc. brought on by a man who claimed a motorcycle ride gave him an erection that lasted for several months. The story made headlines and drew much ridicule after the man said vibrations from his 1993 BMW K1100RS and Corbin aftermarket seat resulted in a case of priapism, a condition in which a penis remains erect for a prolonged period of time.
