  • Vintage 1980 Kawasaki KZ 1000 G-1 Classic - Fuel Injected & Runs GreatVintage 1980 Kawasaki KZ 1000 G-1 Classic - Fuel Injected & Runs Great (1980)
      Make us an offer on this bike!!  You never know!!     This listing is for a beautiful and almost all original 1980 KZ 1000 G-1 Classic.  Produced only 1 year, the G-1 Classic was very limited in production and was Kawasaki's first fuel injected motorcycle.  Very few are left running on the original fuel injection system.  A G-1 Classic has been my personal bike for over 10 years and there is a simple secret to keeping these bikes running.  The fuel injection system is VERY VERY sensitive to voltage change.  If you keep a good charged battery in this bike at all times along with a Battery Tender hooked up at all times you should have no problems. This is an almost all original bike - from the paint, exhaust and on to the seat cover.  The clutch and front brake levers still have the plastic coating from the factory.  The fuel tank inside is almost like new.  The only non-original part I can find are the hand grips, the speedometer and tachometer.  The original speedometer was an 85 mph.    I'm assuming it's been on there since the old days as the previous owner of 5 years knew nothing of the change.  The previous owner also added foam comfort grips.  While the paint is all original and in overall good condition, it shows it's age in several places as you can see in the pictures.  All the chrome is in great overall condition for it's age.  The left front case has some peeling as you can see from the pictures.  The original seat cover has a 3" tear at the seam that could be repaired by a good upholstery shop.

    1978 Kawasaki KZ650b with title, currently does NOT run Replaced everything with same year parts, or NOS, or mods - Kerker 4 into 1 header (new 1000 miles on it), kerker muffler and a Competition baffle - Early kz900 26mm carbs by wiredgeorge completely rebuilt, K&N pods, new intake boots - Shorty blinker arms - Joker Mirrors and plugs - Perfect gauges off a '78 with less than 10k - Perfect seat, just the best I've seem, the owners manual is still in its seat storage compartment - All plastics are in great shape, all new frame rubbers -Tank is in good shape inside and out, no dents, has a new cap seal - Chrome is in great shape - All lights are in nice shape, no cracks, all light bulbs are replace with NOS or high quality replacements - Excel coils and wires, new plugs - No hacks in wiring harness or elsewhere - Petcock rebuilt, new hoses and filter - Oil temp gauge for oil plug - Shocks are kz900, little taller, stiffer, I weight 200lbs - Front shock oil changed - Fluids changed before storage, no gas in it, stored inside, climate controlled - Tire have miles left on them, non match - Have some original extras:             shocks, rear foot pegs, center stand, brake pads front and rear I have over 1000 into the carbs and exhaust This would make a great bike, I just dont have the time anymore, it was running a year ago, needs a good home. Kawasaki revealed the 2015 edition of the Ninja ZX-10R as well as a special anniversary edition marking 30 years since the debut of the Ninja GPZ900R in 1984. The 30th Anniversary Ninja ZX-10R features a Lime Green/Pearl Stardust White paint job similar to the design of Kawasaki’s World Superbike Championship racer. The special edition model also features 30th Anniversary badging on the side of the fairing behind the headlights.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto will be unable to defend his 2013 AMA Pro Motocross Championship title after opting to get knee surgery to fix a lingering injury. Villopoto battled with the knee issue throughout the Monster Energy Supercross season, and after consulting his medical team, it was decided he will undergo surgery on his knee as soon as possible. Monster Energy Kawasaki has signed the 2013 Canadian Monster Energy Motocross Nationals Champion Brett Metcalfe to join Jake Weimer for the 2014 AMA Pro Motocross season.

Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
