The Honda XR400R was built with the serious off-road enthusiasts in mind! This 2001 Honda XR400R has been well maintained, starts right up and runs great. There are some scratches from offroad use, but the bike is in overall very nice shape (see detailed pictures). The bike is all stock with the exception of aluminum bars, aluminum skidplate, the XR’s Only Competion Exhaust and a Mikuni Pumper Carburetor ($400 extra!). The Accelerator Pump Carburetor not only makes the XR400R a one-kick start performance-minded machine, but it also eliminates the very noticeable flat spot that exists right off the bottom of the powerband. This is the carburetor that should have been on the XR400R from the factory! These bikes are getting harder and harder to find and this is your chance to pick one up for a great price! The XR is a slim, nimble handling bike with outstanding steering, air cooling and is the choice of 90 percent of adventure tour/off-road rental companies for a reason. The XR models are known for their outstanding reliability and performance and this bike won’t let you down. Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy and feel free to ask any and all questions. Shipping IS NOT included and would be 100% buyer's responsibility. Tue, 29 May 2012Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
Front wheel hopping on a 'Blade
Wed, 25 Aug 2010In my youth I used to spend hours with my mates pulling stoppies on our mountain bikes and then proceeding to hop on the front wheel for as long as we could or replicating the tricks we'd see our trials heroes perform. But the idea of doing this on a Honda Fireblade is puzzling, but stunt rider Odair Salmazo has it cracked.
