Fairing, tank, covers are original 1984 factory paint and show appropriate wear. Transmission shifts smoothly and rear end was rebuilt in 2012 Seat is worn and need recovering. Motorcycle was salvaged as a two wheeler that suffered rear end damage before becoming a trike. Damaged saddlebags, rear tire, fender and swingarm were removed for trike conversion. The frame is straight and rides well. Progressive shocks in rear, stock forks and rake. New tires and custom rims in 2011. Beach bars provide comfort and leverage when riding with one hand. Controls are a set of Police Special switches that have been modified to have all necessary switches; start, horn, turn R&L, Hi/Low on right hand including clutch and throttle. The foot shifter and braking system are both operated by the right foot. Use left hand or foot when riding is optional. There is a difference Harley only made the Wide Glide a few years(3) before they started making the Dyna Wide Glides. So the production numbers of these bikes are low and an uncommon model to find. Thu, 08 May 2014Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle
Fri, 25 Apr 2014An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

The mini-movie and digital comic will debut in Marvel and Harley-Davidson online and social channels this summer.
