1984 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide , **** Only 2,225 made **** 1984 Harley Davidson Shovelhead FXWG - $6995 This 1984 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide (FXWG) is literally one of the last Shovelhead bikes to roll off the line before Harley switched to the Evo motor this same year. To top it off, this bike has: stroker motor bored .035 over, high performance S&S racing pistons, Rowe Rods, Mustang Seat, Mallory ignition, Belt Drive, Electronic and Kickstart, polished S&S Super E carburetor, newer battery, new stator, custom bars, forward controls, a fresh complete top and bottom motor rebuild done by Ramjet Speed Shop in Cave Creek, AZ with under 1000 miles on it. This bike has been extremely well taken care of. It was originally owned and cared for by a bike builder at 8 Mile Choppers before I bought it, and I'm only the third owner. You can still see yourself in the the 29-year-old factory Harley-Davidson paint. Runs loud and strong. This is the perfect bike for a real Harley enthusiast that wants something different than all the commonplace EVOs and broken-down Shovels that are out there. I have well over $10,500 into it, and have all receipts. The bike was appraised for $10,500 before the motor was rebuilt. I'm asking $6,995. Ohio Man to be Buried on 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Legends Ride Stops Sturgis Traffic
Tue, 06 Aug 2013This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.
