Vintage BMW classic "toaster tank" R60/5 motorcycle for sale. This is a second owner bike, I purchased this from the son of the original owner who purchased it new in 1973. The bike is in excellent shape, clean, in unrestored original condition. I had the cylinders off, valves replaced, and adjusted. Runs smooth. Carbs were rebuilt, but still drip some gas out of the overflow. Speedometer is not operative, so mileage is not accurate, but I probably only put a couple thousand on it since I acquired it. I registered this motorcycle a couple years ago, but I have let it expire. Even includes the original tire hand pump and tools BMW supplied with the bike when purchased. Local pickup only. Hero MotoCorps Hires Ex-BMW Designer Braunsperger
Mon, 25 Aug 2014Hero MotoCorp has hired former BMW designer Markus Braunsperger to lead the Indian company’s research and development division. Braunsperger once held a similar position with BMW in the early 2000s, developing models such as the K1200S before moving on to BMW’s automobile division where he helped design the 5, 6 and 7 series sedans as well as the X3, X5 and X7 SUVs. Braunsperger will head Hero’s new R&D center in Rajasthan, India, starting in October.
NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool
