BMW K-Series description

2002 BMW K1200RS Blue, 52800 miles, 3 owners. Bought new from Irv Seaver BMW in Orange with full service history to date from them. Print out of service records in hand. I recently rode a 5000 mile 8 state road trip on this motorcycle and it performed flawlessly and comfortably, making 130hp and returning nearly 50mpg. This is a great sports tourer with;

ABS brakes
Detachable panniers
Adjustable handlebars, seat, footpegs and windshield. The windshield is a BMW extra height option for better wind protection
Cruise control
Heated grips
Power outlet so you can power a satnav or cellphone on the move.
A usb adaptor for this outlet is included
Brand new Continental tires
New fork seals
Fresh engine, transmission and final drive oil
Helmet lock
Current registration and tags, clean California title in hand
Owners handbook and service manual plus full original tool kit

Needs nothing, everything works perfectly, very good condition, ready to ride. Price negotiable.
Would prefer local pickup by buyer.

Sportbike BMW S1000 RR received a turbocharger and almost 300

Fri, 06 Jan 2017

This formidable "bimmer" appears to have stylistic differences from the standard bike, although the main thing in it is not the design, it’s the technical stuffing. It turns the S1000 RR into a real rocket, dominating all the standard "1-litres". The master decided to increase the power and traction by installing a turbocharger!

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.
