It had been stored, unused, since about 1993.Cleaned out the fuel tank, carbs and lines, new oil filter/oil lines. New Battery and spark plugs, engine runs great starts and idles well with no leaks. Excellent runner and easy starter. I have had the bike since 1998 and just don't get to ride it enough. It has new shocks and seals on the front in 2015 and a new front tire in 2014. Fairing is complete, have two keys for the bike and fairing cover. Its a classic bike but has so few miles that it can still be a reliable daily driver, or a chopper candidate. Engine is a strong runner. Has all the original parts except missing the left side cover and the instrument cowling is also broken. The left exhaust is cracked where the pipe meets the muffler assembly. Call me at 605-261-9638 and I will tell you more. This bike has to go, so it has a low reserve, but you will have to transport it to wherever you are. Vintage 1981 Honda CB 750 Custom. Excellent unrestored condition. 7862 miles. Purchased from the original owner. I have the original setup checklist, sales receipt and 600 mile service record from Paul J. Hanafin Honda, Endicott, NY; purchased March 1982. I also have receipts for over $1,600 from work done at Binghamton Honda in November 2014. Carbs removed and sonic cleaned twice. Replaced air cut valves, float needles, and spark plugs. Synchronized carbs. Replaced stator, reg/rectifier, and rotor. The bike currently starts, runs, shifts, brakes as designed. Everything works properly. I do have the original owners manual and I am pretty sure the toolkit is in the bike. There is a sport windshield for it and the motorcycle is wired for a battery tender. 1981 Honda Hawk CB400T Cafe Racer (1981)
I am selling a 1981 Honda Hawk with roughly 8800 miles on it, The bike is a very unique and one of a kind. Many of the features include; custom rear seat section with a custom upholstered seat pan, All brackets on frame have been shaved and the electronics have been relocated to under the seat, the battery has been replaced with a gel battery so it could be mounted on the side, It has custom rear sets, new grips, handlebars, sprocket, tires, turn signals, spark plugs, air filters, oil, breather filters, both carbs have been cleaned and all jets replaced, all new fuel lines, new mufflers, both headers have been fiberglass wrapped, new brake master cylinder reservoir and rebuild kit, new clutch and brake levers, new mirrors on handle bars, it also has the tail light and license plate relocated to the side of the swing arm, new headlight brackets and both side case gaskets replaced. The wheels on the back have been freshly painted with lip hand polished. The main color of the bike is a white pearl with a black metallic stripe. The frame , wheels and miscellaneous brackets are painted in black metallic also. Both side cases on the engine and the top cam cover has been taken off and hand polished. The bike is very clean and well maintained. The bike was also featured in the April issue of (VJMC) Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, it had a 3 page article in the magazine explaining the build. 1981 Honda CB 900 I bought 2 years ago in original condition, I changed the oil and put about 2000 miles on it I tried to restore it and in the process of sanding the tank I put a pin hole that you can't see with the naked eye but leaked gas after a few hundred miles. The leaking caused the paint to flake off the tank, so the gas tank needs to be sealed and repainted. It was starting to get colder when this happened so its been stored since. It also needs a new battery. It ran great before it was stored for winter. Will need very little work before it is street ready. I took the carbs off, cleaned them, and ran a bottle of B-12 carb cleaner through the gas. It is now running on all 4 cylinders, but backfires on deceleration. It has brand new tires with less than 10 miles on them, has new headlight ears, new headlight, new battery and both cam timing chains have recently been changed along with new rings and valve adjustment. It comes with 2 Vetter hard bags that are in decent shape, along with mounting hardware.
