Harley-Davidson Other description

Up for auction is a 1974 Aermacchi Harley-Davidson SR 100 Baja 100 cc off road motorcycle.  The bike is all original with the exception of the rear tire which dry rotted but was like new when replaced and the seat cover.  The bike has its original paint on the tank, frame, and muffler.  It does have normal scratches and scrapes but is in nice condition for a motorcycle of its age. Please look closely at the photos to aid in the description. These bikes had two stroke engines and a five speed manual transmission.  They also used pre-mix oil in lieu of an injection system because of their competitive use. VIN number on the frame and motor match along with both motor cases.  The chrome on the rear rim and shock springs, and handlebars are not perfect and show signs of rust.  The bike runs great and appears to have been run very little during the course of its 42 years. The bike will need fork seals if its going to be ridden on a regular basis.  Points, condenser, and ignition coil all replaced in 2012,  These bikes are becoming more rare and were only made from 1970-1974.  This bike would be great to add to any vintage bike collection.

Since the bike was designed for competition use and was not designed for use on public roads or highways it was NOT REQUIRED to be sold in Pennsylvania with a title.

The title block was marked clear ONLY to list the item on ebay.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO TITLE FOR THE BIKE AND IT WILL BE SOLD WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY.

.Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and charges.  I will work with the buyer and shipper anyway possible.

I strive to be as honest as possible on each item I list so if you have any questions regarding the bike PLEASE feel free to ask and I will get back to you ASAP.

Thank you for looking!

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.
