Danilo Petrucci Signs With Rokit BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team for 2026

Italian motorcycle Danilo Petrucci racer has had a long and colorful racing career, moving up from the FIM Superstock 1000 support category in WorldSBK to secure his ride in MotoGP in 2012 as part of the emerging Claiming Rule Teams (CRT). After spending several seasons in the premier MotoGP class, Petrucci ventured Stateside and joined the MotoAmerica Superbike category for a single season, before joining the WorldSBK paddock in 2023. With a few notable seasons under his belt, the Petrucci is moving from the privately owned Barni Spark Ducati Racing Team where he rode the Ducati Panigale V4 R and will be joining the factory supported Rokit BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, where he'll ride the latest version of the BMW M 1000 RR, effectively succeeding World Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu who has inked a deal with Prima Pramac Yamaha for the 2026 MotoGP season.

Honda EV Fun Concept Wins Red Dot "Best of the Best 2025" Award

Honda has announced that its EV Fun and EV Urban concept motorcycles have received Red Dot Awards "Best of the Best 2025," respectively. We've discussed the forthcoming EV Fun production here and Honda has announced that it will be moving into full-scale production with its EV-powered sportbike as of March 31st, 2026. Honda has not stated whether the EV Urban concept will make it to market, but it has teased something EV Fun-related for September 2.

Suzuki gives a nod to its past with retro-inspired GSX-8T and GSX-8TT Well, we got that one wrong, didn't we? If you don't know what we're talking about, in episode 5 of the Bore and Stoke podcast, we caught wind of the Suzuki GSX-8T and TT and we all guessed the "T" would stand for "Touring." We weren't quite sure what "TT" would stand for, but nonetheless, we got this one totally wrong. Suzuki has officially unveiled the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, and instead of being touring bikes (which, by the way, we still think is a good idea), the T and TT are two new models based on the Suzuki GSX-8 platform, now with retro themes inspired by Suzuki's past.
