For sale is a well maintained adult owned 1999 Yamaha YZF-R1. Very legendary bike. Has 24,000 babied miles, runs PERFECT, and has absolutely zero issues. Has fender eleminator which was paint matched along with flush mount turn signals and has white frame sliders. Also has a GYT-R slip on which sounds amazing. The bike is extremely fast and is turn key ready. It's mostly stock except for the fender eliminator, turn signals, and exhaust. Everything was tastefully done and it has the original look. You WILL NOT find another R1 thats this clean and tastefully done where it looks like it came from storage from 1999. Does have a few imperfections on paint but you'd have to look closely to see it. Has new tires, new front brakes, a new gold chain, and I flushed out the brake fluids early this season and put in new fluid. Included is a helmet, front and rear pit bull stands, and a extra key. Recall for 2009-2011 Yamaha V-Max
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha is issuing a recall campaign on certain 2009-2011 V-Max power cruisers due to a potential risk of oil pump malfunction. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, abnormally high oil pressure can build up within the oil pump of certain Yamaha V-Max models. The high pressure may force the washer on the oil pump shaft against the oil pump housing, causing oil to stop pumping through the engine.
Yamaha Champions Riding School August Update
Tue, 05 Aug 2014Our friends at the Yamaha Champions Riding School have been busy lately. Since moving to New Jersey Motorsports park in April, traffic has steadily risen, with June being sold out and July not far behind. August is very promising with some new ideas (one-day clinics to bring a more economical program to a larger group of riders) being inserted into the mix as well as a normal two-day school at the end of the month, which is already 80% full thanks to the yearly visit from the engineering department of Harley Davidson. Following August YCRS will have two schools the week directly after the AMA Pro races at NJMP.
