REDUCED - 2009 Victory Arlen Ness VISION, This special limited-edition model is based on the Victory Vision Street and has been personally styled by customizing legend Arlen Ness. The bike's black base showcases a custom paint scheme designed by Ness along with numerous special Ness features including custom billet Hot Rod Wheels, handgrips and engine covers. It also has a custom-stitched leather seat that rides an inch lower than the stock Victory Vision saddle and is designed to use individual driver and passenger backrests. Plus, the custom Ness short windscreen is electrically height-adjustable. This is an awesome bike. Excellent Condition. Awesome paint scheme. #185, interchangeable driver/passenger back rest. Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up
Tue, 07 Jan 2014Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
Day 4 Dakar 2014: Juan Pedrero Wins Stage Aboard Sherco
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Stage 4 of the 2014 Dakar saw Juan Pedrero take his maiden victory aboard a Sherco SR 450 Rally. Although not in contention for the overall, Pedrero showed he has outgrown his previous role as Marc Coma’s lieutenant at KTM by bringing his Sherco across the finish line 3:10 faster than third place Coma and 29 seconds faster than second place finisher Francisco Lopez. Coma’s performance in today’s stage moved him to only 3:10 behind overall leader Joan Barreda.
Polaris Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results
Tue, 22 Jul 2014The relaunch of Indian Motorcycles continues to be a resounding success for Polaris Industries, helping the company report a 107% increase in second quarter revenue from motorcycle sales. Polaris reported revenues of $103.1 million in the quarter ended June 30, more than double the $49.9 million in revenue reported over the same quarter last year. Polaris continues to see strong demand for Indian, which relaunched last summer, while demand for Victory decreased by the mid-single digits.
