Polaris Reports Q2 2012 Results

Polaris Industries reported a 110% increase in sales from its On-Road division over the second quarter of 2012. The On-Road division consists primarily of Victory Motorcycles but also includes Indian Motorcycles, electric vehicle brands Global Electric Motorcars and Goupil. The acquisitions of the latter three brands contributed to nearly a third of the overall growth.

New Lorenzo lids unveiled

HELMET MANUFACTURER X-LITE will be unveiling one of their top-of-the-range lids in a variety of colour schemes favoured by Fiat Yamaha MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo.The X-802 is now available in the MotoGP star's black paint scheme, with the recognisable red 'X' on the crown. Day 13 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Final Stage, Coma Earns His Fourth Dakar Victory

Joan Barreda was determined to make the most of day 13, the last day of the Dakar Rally, after a crash on Friday took him out of second place in the overall standings. He did so in fine fashion, winning the 157km (97.6-mile) final stage aboard his Honda CRF 450 Rally. However, it was Marc Coma whose star was shining brightest, as he crossed the finish line in 18th place — easily enough to collect his fourth Dakar title.
