2013 AMA Superbike Daytona Race Report

The story leading up to the opening round of the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike season was whether anyone would be able to keep up with defending champion Josh Hayes. After all, the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider dominated the competition last season winning 16 of 20 races including a string of 10 in a row. The season-opening round at Daytona International Speedway appeared to start on script with Hayes qualifying in pole position.

Victory Recalling Lock & Ride Passenger Backrests

Victory has announced a recall for certain Lock & Ride passenger backrests sold as accessories for the Cross Roads, Cross Country and Hard-Ball models because of a risk of them falling off. Officially, the recall affects 8,819 backrests including both the chrome (part #2877938) and black (part #2877938-266), but only a fraction may have a problem. On their own, there are no issues with the Lock & Ride passenger backrests.

Josh Hayes captured his third and fourth wins of the 2014 AMA Superbike season to take the double at Barber Motorsports Park. The two wins moved Hayes to the top of the championship standings from third as the three-time champion put himself in good position to win a fourth.
