Triumph Trident description

By all accounts, 1973 was the best year for the Trident with a five speed gear box.  This is a beautiful bike.  The fuel tank was recently repainted to factory spec (black and red).  I put on a new cafe seat from Burton Bike Bits in the UK and also installed new electronic ignition from Pazon which also included the proper new coils.  Tires are good.  Bike is all original with matching numbers and I have the original seat and old ignition parts.  It is tagged in Delaware until 7/17.

Triumph Reveals Thruxton Ace Café Special Edition for US Market – Video

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

This past weekend at the Barber Vintage Festival, Triumph took the wraps off a special edition Thruxton that was created with the famed Ace Café London. Harkening back to one of the lynchpins of the British café racer movement of the 1960s, the Thruxton Ace Café Special Edition molds the profile of the classic Triumph racer of the era to the thoroughly modern Thruxton. Motorcycle Freestyle Rider Ernie Vigil Puts Triumph’s Scrambler Through The Wringer [Video]

Wed, 21 Mar 2012

With its on/off-road tires, spoke wheels, high rise dual exhaust, protective fork gators and flat one-piece seat and handlebar, Triumph’s Scrambler evokes notions of a McQueen-esque go anywhere, do anything machine in a modern motorcycle. It’s probably safe to assume few Scrambler owners today put their retrofied rides to the test, seeing just how much abuse the 865cc parallel-Twin-powered Scrambler can take. However, in this Triumph North America video, freestyle rider Ernie Vigil (the video’s editor and co-creator) does what most Scrambler owners wish they were capable of with their new/old Trumpet.

R&G Drop proof Triumph Speed Triple

Mon, 16 May 2011

Over the years R&G have been the brand known for being the originators of crash protecting bolt-ons. I asked them for a stack of products to fit to the 2011 Speed Triple to see what difference they make. The thing about modern day sports tyres is they offer huge grip when fully leant over, but we are often too nervous to make the most of this, simply because the British road surfaces are changeable and largely unpredictable.
