Triumph Tiger description

2005 Triumph Tiger, The horizon is the Tigers destination, vast expanses its home. It thrives on challenge and lives for the journey and, no matte - The horizon is the Tigers destination, vast expanses its home. It thrives on challenge and lives for the journey and, no matter the task in hand, performs as only a bike with its depth can. And its tauter, sharper and more usable than ever thanks to a completely new chassis. Cast wheels allow wide, sticky tires that are fully exploited by the honed, lowered suspension and quick-steering frame geometry. Total competence and neutrality, from sinuous switchback to four-lane black top, is Tiger territory. Powering the Tiger is a seminal fuel-injected, 955cc, three-cylinder engine. A motor thats the very definition of real-word drivability, a motor that instantly involves the rider with every twist of throttle and turn of crankshaft. Mile after mile, horizon after horizon. Practical, common sense touches - like custom-fit hard cases as standard - and tens of thousands of miles experience make the Tiger a trusted travelling companion. And each comes with a guarantee of riding satisfaction, of distance covered, tales told and jouneys won. Of adventure. The worlds a big place. The Tiger has its measure.

The future. But we can't have it

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

Triumph is recalling motorcycles due to problems with electronics

Fri, 07 Nov 2014

America, Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Rocket III Roadster, Rocket III Touring, Scrambler, Speedmaster, Thruxton, Thunderbird, Thunderbird Storm, Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC will be recalled by the British company. According to the manufacturer, the engine control unit of some motorcycles may malfunction, due to which one of the fuel injectors will inject additional fuel into the engine cylinder. As a result, the engine will either not start or stall during operation due to excessive re-enrichment of the combustible mixture.
