Triumph Tiger description

I'm selling my custom 1972 Triumph TR6. It's the last year Triumph made the 650's, and the first year of the 5 speeds! I bought it a couple years ago from the owner of the last 20 years. He kept it in immaculate shape, and hardly rode it. He said the motor was rebuilt when he first got it but I can't be sure. It is very clean, very tight and doesn't leak. Pretty amazing for a 44 year old British bike.

Since I got it I did a lot of work to it. I mounted the fender and taillight, made a custom seat (covered in Italian leather by Jay at Pirate Upholstery), put low bars, grips, levers, brake cable, vintage cocktail shaker mufflers, passenger pegs, and fork gaiters. I lowered the front end 1" internally, and rebuilt it. I completely rewired the bike using vintage style cloth wire. I just changed the oil and all the oil lines. The bike has nice Dunlop K70 tires, and I have the front fender to go with the bike.

It is a gorgeous bike and everyone comments on it. Don't buy it if you don't like talking to people at the gas station. It runs great, and the brakes work well. It starts right up after a couple kicks. It's running a Sparks Regulator/ capacitor and no battery, so I think the first couple kicks are charging the capacitor. I just rode it a bunch today with no issues so I think it's as sorted as an antique British bike can be. The only issue is that the rear brake switch isn't working but I have one on order. It just bolts in place.

I have the clean title from the original owner, I never registered it. He signed it and the buyers section is blank so you can sign/ register it.

I need a $500 deposit within 48 hours of the auctions end. The rest in cash due upon pickup, unless you consult me first and we agree upon another form of payment. Full payment must be made within a week but I can hold the bike for a little while as long as it's payed for. I'm located in Kingston but can deliver to the city or anywhere else within 100 miles for $1 a loaded mile. Shipping arrangements are up to the buyer, but I can drop the bike at a shipper if needed.

PS, sorry for the sideways pictures! Hopefully you can see it clearly. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up a time to see the bike.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.
