The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!
Tue, 02 Jun 2009According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run. Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake. Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump. Pro Singles Flat Tracker Shayna Texter Moves To GNC
Wed, 05 Feb 2014The first female to win an AMA Pro Singles main event, Shayna Texter, is graduating to the premier Grand National Championship class aboard Latus Motors Racing’s Castrol Triumph. In 2011 Texter won the Pro Singles main event at Knoxville Raceway to become the first female to win an AMA Pro Singles main event. Last year Texter won two AMA Pro Singles main events on her way to placing fourth in the Pro Singles championship. She also swept the two Basic Twins main events at Springfield.
Arai Helmet Sponsoring Upcoming Superbike Shootout Race Weekends
Thu, 01 May 2014Arai Helmet has thrown its proverbial hat in the ring by signing up to sponsor the next two events of the new GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented by Yamaha. In addition, Arai has been named the official helmet of the series. The Arai Pacific Nationals will be hosted by the AFM next weekend, May 3-4, at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California.
