Suzuki Marauder description

My daughter has been riding the bike on rides with me and to work most days. Runs great. Great mileage. Liquid cooled. Beautiful paint, white with pink devil tails. Definitely a girl bike. On rides her bike gets more compliments and attention than my new Harley Street Bob. Easy to ride. Good tires and brakes. Solo seat with a pillion seat for a passenger that can be put on in about 30 seconds. New mirrors added a couple of months ago. Bike was tuned and an oil change last month. She is ready to go.

Team Hammer Releases Martin Cardenas

Fri, 04 Jan 2013

AMA Pro Racing’s Team Hammer has released Martin Cardenas from his contract to allow the reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion “to better pursue his goal of returning to World Championship competition as soon as possible.” Though the eventual goal appears to be for Cardenas to move up to the World Superbike Championship, rumors have Cardenas landing with the Yoshimura Suzuki factory team to race in the AMA Superbike Championship in 2013 as an eventual stepping stone towards international racing. Cardenas won the 2010 and 2012 AMA Daytona Sportbike championships with Team Hammer riding a Suzuki GSX-R600. Team Hammer held a contract option for Cardenas for the 2013 season but decided to release the Colombian racer, allowing him to take a different route towards a WSBK career.

From the News That Sounds Too Good To Be True But, Boy, Do We Hope It Is Department, MWR Air Filters wants riders to know that its MWR High Efficiency Air Filters are breaking new ground in air filtration technology. While the company’s name might not be commonplace among performance oriented riders – yet – some pretty big names are using MWR filters even though the company doesn’t pay sponsorship dollars. According to MWR’s press release, “the reigning WSBK champion, Tom Sykes uses MWR Air Filters in his Kawasaki ZX10R.” Also, 17 riders at the Isle of Man TT were running with MWR filters.

FILMED IN THE days when advertising campaigns were more based around glamour than fact, check this Max Factor commercial, featuring 1970s hot chick Erin Grey. Complete with Suzuki trail bikes and period attire, the Max babes look the part in their colour-matching jumpsuits. Reminds us of the joke: How did the Avon Lady get pregnant?
