Completely restored 1980 Honda CT70. All parts that needed replacing have been replaced or refurbished, including a new muffler, tires, brakes, shocks, etc. The engine has been replaced with a new Lifan 125 for more power, along with a Mikuni VM22 carburetor for increased reliability. The frame and wheels were powder coated, and the optional luggage rack has been re-chromed. The bike currently has dual registration for on and off road. 1983 HONDA TRAIL 110 CT110 in its classic form is a 105cc 4-stroke air-cooled single cylinder engine with a four-speed transmission and an automatic clutch. That coupled with a roughly 2:1 ratio gear reduction box known as the dual range subtransmission which switched into operation using a small lever under the transmission case and allowed the CT to climb steep slopes with no difficulty. The cylinder is nearly horizontal in the step-through tube/stamping frame. The CT110's clutchless four speed transmission (centrifugal clutch) does not require a clutch lever, contributing to it's reputation for extreme reliability, economy and ease of operation.

Amongst a sea of ADV and ADV-adjacent offerings, there is a Stateside sect of riders who opine for a roadgoing all-arounder – those doe-eyed hopefuls wave a hearty checklist in hand: sporting ability, touring necessities, and affordability neatly assembled in this carefully balanced package.

Celebrating 50 years of luxo-touring Honda/Align Media It was the second and last lap around Barber Motorsports Park aboard the Candy Blue Green 1975 GL1000 Gold Wing graciously on loan from Dennis Doyle, the brother of Honda’s Northeast Press Fleet Specialist, Rob Doyle. Rob discovered the pristine Gold Wing on Facebook Marketplace while searching for a parts bike to restore Dennis’s other GL. The first and only owner of the Facebook GL placed the ad with only 31,000 original miles on the clock.
