1975 Honda CB (1975)
This is a ONE OWNER bike, from new, although re-titled once, from father to son. My father and I have shared this bike for the past 40 years but, as shown by the odometer, neither of us actually rode it very often. 1977 Honda CB (1977)
Bought this 550 from my brother-in-laws dad. It has been garage kept. Rebuilt the master cylinder and caliper. Replaced the plugs, points and condensers. Changed oil and filter. Electronically cleaned the fuel tank. Replaced carbs with rebuilt set; old set goes with bike. Still needs horn; doesn't work. Gas tank has scratches and chrome is pitted (see picture of wheels). Mufflers need replaced soon (see picture). Small break in fins on front left cylinder (see picture). Runs good; would take it anywhere. Good shape for its age. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.

The Japanese proposed a warning system about the danger that lies in wait for the driver in the blind zone. Honda engineers have proposed equipping the motorcycle with cameras and radars that will detect dangerous proximity to another vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver through light indication or tactile feedback.

The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness.
