1952 Harley Davidson CAPTAIN AMERICA.
OK not quite the iconic movie machine but it sure gets a lot of thumbs up going down the road. This bike looks great leading a Memorial Day, 4th of July or Veterans day parade. Stock panhead and 4 speed transmission, M74 linkert carb, mouse trap clutch and drum brake. 8750 miles since engine rebuild. To my knowledge---Original Harley wish bone frame, and Springer front end. (As old bike stories go, this bike was chopped in the late 60's or early 70's in California.The front fork is original with early Ford torsion bars welded on. Custom made exhaust and pan covers) A few upgrades, 12 volt electrical system, POWER ARC Electronic Ignition, and PRIMO primary belt drive There are a couple of chips in the paint on the fuel tank as you can see in the photos. Also a couple chips in the chrome on the custom built springer front end, (see photo). Overall a very clean bike for it's age Have an old school king/queen seat and other styles of handlebars and shotgun exhaust to go with the bike. 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring Lineup Updated with Project Rushmore Enhancements
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson announced a number of updates to its touring models, a cumulative result of a product development effort the company dubs Project Rushmore. The enhancements cover several areas, addressing performance, comfort, style and infotainment needs, and will be implemented across eight 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring models: the Road King, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Limited, the Tri-Glide Ultra Classic trike and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited. “Project RUSHMORE has been touched by thousands of people, most of them being our customers and our employees,” says Scott Habegger, Harley-Davidson Director of Motorcycle Planning.
