First let me say this. This girl has gotten me across country twice, once from Boston to Anchorage. She has never let me down. She is made for the man who wants to get out on the road and just enjoy the present. I am actually quite sentimental about selling her but the temptation to ride is to strong.
Due to a non motorcycle accident I am not able to ride anymore. Any biker knows this is like having a limb removed. 1. The front tire needs a new tube 2. A battery is needed 3. A tune up is needed. Currently not turning over due to dead battery. But here is where this bike is not like any other bike you have ever ridden on. It has been driven, not trailered, in all 49 states, yes including Alaska. Up until this year it was meticulously taken care of. It had to be to make it through all those states. There are no major problems and the only problem it ever had was the cam tensioner chain broke. Other than that the belt driven beast made it through the gravel of the Yukon. So if you are looking at Harley with some history, I am talking real history this road king is for you. I do have some wiggle room on the price since it will need to be towed away. Harley Recalls 25,000 2014 Touring Models
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Harley-Davidson is acting quickly to address potential safety issues by voluntarily recalling certain 2014 Touring motorcycles equipped with a hydraulic clutch system that may pose a safety issue for riders and/or passengers. The recalls include a Do Not Ride notice to owners and a Do Not Deliver notice to Harley-Davidson dealers until the motorcycle is fixed. “The safety of our customers is our highest priority,” said Tony Wilcox, Harley-Davidson General Manager of Motorcycle New Product Delivery.
2015 Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Revealed
Tue, 26 Aug 2014It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.
Most Obvious Press Release Of 2013: Biker Chicks Sexier Than Pedestrians
Tue, 31 Dec 2013In a misallocation of funds Harley-Davidson recently spent an untold buttload of money proving something men have known for years: That women who ride motorcycles are sexier and better between the sheets than women who don’t ride. Common responses from male motorcyclists to the press release were: Duh; Tell me something I didn’t already know; Can I be a recruiter? Meant to entice non-riding females into the Harley-Davidson army by pimping the Bar & Shield’s website, www.h-d.com/women, the press release was peppered with effeminate catchphrases such as “physical intimacy, “communication,” and “improves relationships” but the basal message is one of female motorcyclists being sexier, happier and more confident than their non-riding counterparts.
