Harley-Davidson Other description

Selling my 2007 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic. This Harley is far from classic. It has been totally customized, and gets attention every where I ride it. The bike has a 'prior salvage' title because it was in a garage that caught fire a few years back before I purchased it last year, and it would have cost more to fix it the Harley way so the insurance company salvaged it. It now has a clear Missouri title. No damage was done to motor or electrical, the bike had been custom painted and tons of new parts, including tires. Mileage is 27700. 6 gear cruise transmission. 1584cc 96ci rubber mounted air-cooled twin cam motor with EFI. I will list some of the major new parts, but inquire for more details. . -21 in DNA front wheel with matching dual rotors-New front and rear tires.-Brand new Progressive rear adjustable air suspension. -Brand new Custom Chrome complete rocker boxes.-New battery. -Kuryakyn complete chromed out engine components-14" Wild one apes (painted to match)-X machine grips & custom levers-Renegade air cleaner (painted to match)-Dirty Bird all-in-one headlamp (turn signals internal)-21" wrap fender-Harley aftermarket speedo & dash cover-Precision Billet floorboards-Fairing Factory 4" stretch saddlebags w/ custom latches-4" stretch rear fender extension-painted strut covers and rack mount-under-tank lighting-HD Night Train emblems-HD "1" dark custom derby/timing covers-Vance & Hines true dual exhaust (loud)This bike has been garage kept and detailed regularly. All fluids and filter recently serviced. The color of the bike is from PPG and was painted by Autos 2NV in Rocheport, Missouri. This Harley looks like a $30k ride, but for half the price, and no I won't take $10k for it, serious inquiries only. And no I don't need help selling it. Email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

I remember my first bicycle. A blue frame with white handlebars and a long white banana seat for comfort. I was riding a Smurf.

Thu, 02 Feb 2012

As expected, Harley-Davidson pulled the wraps off of two new 2012 models, the ’70s-styled Seventy-Two Sportster (pictured above) and the bobber-styled Softail Slim. Motorcycle.com‘s Tom Roderick attended the launch of the two new 2012 Harley-Davidson models and he’ll have a full report. In the mean time, here’s a quick look at the two new offerings from The Motor Company.Like the Forty-Eight first introduced in 2010, the 2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two is named for the era that inspired its design.
