Harley-Davidson Other description

2014 Harley-Davidson FXDWG - Dyna Wide Glide, 2014 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide
This is the ultimate combination easy riding, free living authentic 70's chopper attitude and modern technology.
The 2014 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide FXDWG model is full of classic chopper motorcycle style. The Harley Dyna Wide Glide model features a powerful air-cooled Twin Cam 103 Harley engine with 6 speed cruise drive transmission, providing more power for passing, hill-climbing, and riding with passenger and cargo. In front is a long and raked out fork with a 21 inch wheel, giving this model quintessential chopper motorcycle style.
Key features may include:
Sissy Bar
The black, wire form sissy bar is a nod to the chopper style with a slight pullback for a unique look. Black like the frame with a retro feel adds to the old school attitude. Give your passenger something to hold, or strap on a bedroll for a weekend run.
Blacked Out Rims & Large Front Wheel
Raw, gritty and no-nonsense the Wide Glide model features black laced steel wheels with a large 21" wheel up front for a quintessential long custom look. Out back, the 17" rim is wrapped in a 180mm tire for a perfectly proportioned rear end.
Six-Speed Cruise Drive Transmission
You want a ride that rumbles not begs for mercy when you lean on it a little. The Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission provides smooth, quiet shifting and reduces engine speed on the highway, so you get a better match between engine turnover and road speed. It's a rare ride when a bike responds like this, and a low growl goes a long way when you're opening up the road ahead.
Twin Cam 103 Engine Innovation
Fire up the Twin Cam 103 engine and feel the low-end torque unleashed. Thanks to the lightweight piston design, delivery of the added power is more refined than ever. Then put your foot on the shifter and feel how the engine and Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission were designed to work together. Six speeds. A strong driveline and strong internal parts. Low routine maintenance. And a low cruising rpm couldn't feel better.
Adjustable Suspension
Easily adjust preload with a spanner wrench to suit your suspension to your riding style. The slammed low rear suspension gives you a more laid-back riding position and style. Low-profile, kicked back for profiling down the boulevard and hugging corners.
Forward-Mounted Controls
With the custom forward-mounted controls on the Wide Glide model, you can kick back a little and stretch your legs for the ultimate cruise through town or across the state line. It's time to take in the open road the way you were meant to on a two-wheeled machine that's built to outdo the rest.

Stuck for a gift? Solution No2: Harley-Davidson merchandise

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

Next year marks a strange anniversary for Harley-Davidson; 100 years of the firm's merchandising operation. Yes, just nine years after getting in on the motorcycle game H-D realised that the real cash was to be found in selling accessories rather than just bikes. And they're masters of the art.

CARB Reveals 2014 Harley-Davidson Models, Including Some “Cool” Surprises

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

The California Air Resource Board has issued executive orders on a number of 2014 Harley-Davidson models, revealing much of the Motor Company’s upcoming product lineup. While most of the models listed are familiar, the documents do reveal some gems including possible signs of the long-rumored new liquid-cooled Harley-Davidson engine. The first and least surprising reveal is the disappearance of the 1584cc Twin Cam 96 engine.

Tue, 07 Jul 2009

Picture a Motorcycle in your mind, any Motorcycle. It could be one you own, want to own, one you’ve seen. Can you picture it?  What Brand is it?  What Model, year, how fast does it go?  You can probably picture each of these elements vividly.
