Harley-Davidson is on a bit of a hiring spree following its Project LiveWire announcement, posting several new engineering job listings to work on the company’s electric motorcycle. In the week since Harley-Davidson announced Project LiveWire, the Motor Company has posted several open positions on its online job board calling for applicants with a background in electric vehicles and electromechanical engineering. Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011

U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.

Harley-Davidson Extends UFC Sponsorship; UFC 164 Added to 110th Anniversary Celebrations

Harley-Davidson has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The new agreement will see the mixed martial arts company hold its UFC 164 event Aug. 31 in Milwaukee’s Bradley Center during Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations over the Labor Day weekend.
