This Flying Merkel tribute bike is so much fun to ride or just sit with a beverage and buddies and look at. Check your local regulations but the only time I have been stopped was for them to ask how old it was and how much it was worth!
The bike was built by Cory Reed of Reed's Vintage Cycle. We made a blue and orange one. This bike will be shipped as seen in the pictures with a set of IF IT HAS WHEELS handlebars. One of their first sets. I believe that for a rider or display, a patinaed bike like this only becomes more real as it is ridden. If you scrub a rim, simply deflate the tire, get some spray primer and touch it up. It is easy to ride. Simply pedal while holding the clutch, release the clutch and ride on. You will not be disappointed! I will deliver the bike to your carrier of choice in the Roanoke Virginia area. We are members of many Vintage groups such as Hodaka, Penton Owners Group, AHRMA, PVR, etc. We only do business that makes us both smile! Most of my items are scratched, marred, you know-USED. If you want like new parts, go bid on like new parts. If one of my items is like new, I will say so. Arlen Ness B-Day Bash At Petersen Museum
Fri, 31 May 2013On July 12 the Petersen Automotive Museum is throwing a birthday party for one of motorcycling’s customizing icons, Arlen Ness. The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.

It's allegedly one of the most sought-after Harleys and has buyers from around the world itching to splash out on it. Not literally, you'd hope.

Keeping with this theme, one hardy Canadian rider is braving the Great White North’s frigid winter temperatures by riding his Harley coast to coast to raise awareness for diabetes, a disease that has seen a rapid explosion of new afflictions.
