Harley-Davidson Other description

1946 Harley Davidson Knucklehead Chopper. Original 1970's build. Stored for years unused. Moisture got in the engine during storage so it was recently completely disassembled and rebuilt with the same configuration. Axtel cylinders and pistons, 3-13/16 bore .010 over, 4-1/2 in stroke. Huge Cam. 103 cu in. Huge valves and springs. All new bearings, engine fully balanced. SU sidedraft carb. 1941 cases with matching belly numbers. Fully rebuilt 4 speed transmission with stroker kick arm. . Whole engine and carb was chromed when originally built way back when. So many custom one off parts, all of them chromed, please look closely at the pics. Very few parts on this bike are off the shelf. Fuel tanks are narrowed, oil tank is a German helmet from WW2, controls are handmade, pipes are custom, frame is fully custom, Beehive tailight and side running lights with chrome grille,  front end is 12" over. Bike is foot clutch Jockey shift OR hand clutch foot shift....Yes both, and at the same time. I think he preferred jockey shift when cruising and foot shift when racing. (jockey shifter was made from  a WW2 dagger) 21" front with dual Airheart Hurst Brakes and Star Master cylinder. Rear custom 15" rim with M&H slick, mechanical drum. Real leather seat has hidden springs underneath. Leather P Pad is nice and functional with rear pegs, plus it holds you in place when you open the throttle. This bike is very fast and is not for the amateur rider. Starts pretty easy considering the size of the engine. Numerous chips and faded paint, blemished worn chrome. This is a Real Old Chopper.  Anthony 529-990-7932
