1921 Harley-Davidson J (1921)
Re-listed because eBay cancelled my prior listing in "parts" because of the VIn & title. Nice 1921 Harley-Davidson J 61c.i. (1000cc) engine project parts, with Florida certificate of title in my name. I do not have the top-end for this, but the bottom end is mostly complete. Auction is for the bottom end only. Flywheel/rod assembly was rebuilt about 300 miles ago by Matt Walksler at Wheels Through Time in Maggie Valley, the rods are nice and fit tight. Cases are really nice. There is a good repair near the typically broken breather gear cavity. The damage there was obviously minor prior to repair. The generator base pad has had one corner broken, but I have the broken section. I will perform a professional weld repair to this before shipping this- at no charge. Baffles are intact and perfect, front and rear engine mounts are perfect. Other than what I have mentioned, the cases are mint. These are really nice cases with no corrosion or stress cracks. The camshaft is used, but definitely still good. Cam followers have three good wheels, the rear exhaust wheel needs to be replaced. The compression relief finger is here, but I don't have the cam that actuates it. The exhaust lifter pins & guides are good. Intake lifter pins are missing, but available through Competition Distributing. The cam gear chest casting is in really nice condition. Idler gear, oil pump gear, and generator drive gear are all in very good condition. The generator drive gear needs the bronze bushing, available at Competition Distributing. Cam gear chest cover is good. The oil pump is incomplete. Has title, which adds $500-$1000 value. My price is really fair.
