BMW R-Series description

Arguably one of Beemers best creations, the R1100RS covers the genres of a sports bike and a touring bike with ease. ABS brakes coupled with a suspension that will not nose dive when the brakes are applied hard. 24,99x miles (because I ride it at least a couple of times a week), new tires last year, new fluids and some nice add ons, this bike rides and performs beautifully. I bought it minus the side cases so I saved a boatload by buying a set of heavy duty nylon bags that do the job nicely. It came with the Givi case which holds a ton of stuff. I added LED lights to the Givi which are super bright, and function as running, stop and turn signals. It has a Cee Bailey tall windshield along with a Cee Bailey headlight protector. I added an LED running light to the front, and probably the best accessories, passive and active deer whistles. The active one is The Hornet, which is the best device on the market today. It is also equipped with a throttle-meister. This is a re-listing since my previous effort didn't meet my reserve, so I've lowered the reserve considerably. Not because I feel that the bike isn't worth what I was asking, but since  my last try I noticed that the throttle side grip warmer is not working, This bike did not come equipped with the R.I.D. Comes with new set of spark plugs, heavy duty magnetic oil drain plug (installed) manuals, tool kit. Clean title. Test drive only when I have cash in hand, you drop it you own it. This is a great, LOW MIELAGE bike!

BMW Scooter News Imminent?

BMW previously announced it will unveil two new scooter models at this fall’s EICMA Show in Milan, but the German manufacturer may have some news for us even sooner. BMW‘s global media site has a new section set up for scooter news. The section is empty at the moment, except for a subsection titled “Scooter Technology”.

BMW Reports Q2 2013 Results – 15.5% Increase Produces Record Quarter

BMW reported a record second quarter with sales of 40,209 motorcycles for the three months ended June 30, 2013. The quarter saw a year-on-year increase of 15.5% from sales of 34,816 motorcycles reported in 2012. For the year to date, BMW has sold 64,941 motorcycles, also a record for first half sales in the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle business (those numbers however do include 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles sold in the first quarter before the brand was acquired by Pierer Industries.) The record half comes in the face of a worldwide decline of 7.1% for motorcycles 500cc and larger over the first six months.

Ever had an officer ask you “where’s the fire?” after being pulled over for speeding?  Well now you have a good excuse. This converted BMW R1200RT has two 20 or 25 liter tanks (contain a premix of water and foam) mounted on either side that is connected to a 6.8 liter compressed air tank on the back of the bike that has a 20 to 30 meter hose. They are currently being used in the U.K.
