BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
Wonderful example of a classic BMW. 2 owners and well cared for. Came out of long term storage and was thoroughly gone thru. Full service, rear shock replaced with new BMW unit because of leak, Fuel tank lifetime warranty coated by GTL in LA to factory specifications. Not a whole lot to say as its just a nice clean bike with no stories. Comes with factory hard bags. You will not be disappointed. Tires have very slight checking and should probably be replaced if bike will see long distance riding they would be fine for around town travel.
Comes with original books and paperwork I will assist with shipping in any way needed but it is your responsibility to arrange and pay. This is a 24 year old bike so it is not without its flaws but they are few and far between. Small rubmark on tank that will come out with a good wet sand and polish, a few small chips on tank from windshield supports when it had a windshield attached and some real small stuff here and there. dry bike does not leak and is up to date on all service. Please ask any questions before purchase. I saw one of these sell last summer for over 9K with 5 times the mileage and it was nowhere near as clean as this. Dont miss out as these bikes just do not exist in this condition. |

New: Revit off track textile jacket
Mon, 01 Dec 2008Although the one pictured doesn’t look that worn it’s a recent replacement for the one I’ve been using ever since I passed my test two years ago. The previous incarnation met its fate in Africa at the hands of a knobbly tyre and chain. It has been in constant use this summer.
Please BMW: don't build this
Wed, 05 Aug 2009BMW have taken a rapid step in the right direction, what with their K1300S, S1000RR and F800R. Recently rumours have been flying around that BMW are to produce a scooter, possibly a hybrid. And while we know it's well within their means, we'd rather they concentrated on the sharpening the cutting edge of road bikes.
