BMW R-Series description

I bought this slash 2 twenty years ago.  For ten years it was a frequent rider.  I then built a larger displacement conversion, and the slash 2 wasn't ridden as much.  Owned by a BMW certified mechanic, it was serviced and repaired as needed.  It starts easy and runs strong.  All the gears shift through fine.  It received a new clutch, new rings, driveshaft boot and final drive seal about five thousand miles ago. All numbers match.  This bike is original!  Inside of the tank is in great shape.  It hasn't been serviced in about five years, but I have ridden it about ten times in the last three months.  You can see the original used shape it is in as the pictures show. The tank has one small, one smaller and one very small dents, {pictures will show}. Front fender pics will show a larger dent. Left side roundel badge needs mounting screw.  Rear fender has some touch-up on it. 80% of the original paint and stripes are intact. Bike will come as is.  I would feel confident putting 500 miles on it with no problem.  Here is your chance to get hold of a well cared for good running rare classic.  Winning bidder is to pay a non refundable deposit of 500 dollars within 24 hours after auction ends. Final payment will be received by wire transfer or cleared cashiers check. Shipping and pickup are buyers responsibility. I prefer to keep this gem in the country, so auction and shipping are available to the lower 48 states only.

How to destroy a GoPro

Wed, 14 Mar 2012

That scraping sound you can hear is a mixture of a knee slider and the GoPro camera housing grazing the tarmac at Mugello. The footage was shot on-board the BMW Motorrad France Team Thevent machine ridden by Hugo Marchand, in testing ahead of the 2012 Endurance World Championship. He managed to wreck the housing that holds the GoPro camera after only three laps.

The BMW-Powered Recumbent Motorcycle

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

As a lover of two wheels, I like to pedal my bicycle to stay in shape when I’m not riding a motorcycle. And in the bicycle world, much like the motorcycle world, there’s a subset of riders who often get snarky looks from the rest of us. Few are more polarizing than those riding recumbent bicycles — you know, the ones where you’re practically laying down while pedaling.
