BMW F-Series description

This motorcycle is great for both commuting and cruising.  Lightweight and nimble, it's easy to ride.  I purchased it a few years ago from Gateway BMW but have never found the time to ride it much, as you can see from the mileage.  Has a new battery and new rear tire.  Includes factory hand warmers, ABS brakes, and windscreen.  Also comes with original center-mounted soft bag.

BMW Produces 500,000th GS Boxer

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

BMW‘s most important model reached an important milestone as the 500,000th boxer-engined GS rolled off the company’s production line in Berlin, Germany. The landmark liquid-cooled 2014 R1200GS follows a lineage half a million strong of flat-twin adventure tourers tracing back to the first R80G/S produced in 1980. “As a plant it is a privilege for us to continue building on the successful history of the legendary flat-twin GS,” says Marc Sielemann, head of the Berlin plant which produces the bulk of BMW’s motorcycles since 1969.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT First Impressions Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The R1200RT has gone liquid cooled, inheriting the new boxer engine with BMW’s “precision cooling” technology from the new R1200GS. But that’s not all that’s changed on the RT as Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke points out in the video below from the 2013 EICMA show floor. With a new K1600GT-inspired look, more power and a number of factory-installed options, one of our favorite touring bikes is better than ever.   Get the Flash Player to see this player.
