Yamaha XS description

1981 Yamaha Special XS400 titled, 10,720 miles. Batter is one year old, losing charge sometimes. Bikes starts and runs very well.

PAYMENT DUE IN 3 DAYS, PICKUP OR SHIPPING IS BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY. THANKS.

Runs great, strong engine, fun to ride, but is a project too, needs work for best performance and comfort.

Used motorcycle. I have owned this bike since 2005. Bought at an auto auction with clean title. I do not have any information on previous owners.  Repainted two-tone red and orange. Starts up and runs no problem on most days. Could use a tune-up, but mostly just someone who know where to find older motorcycle parts. Not all original, but mostly original parts. Box included with some extra parts. See description above for other details. Normal rust, wear and tear for 35 yrs.

Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.

Yamaha R1 rider lowsides on left-hander

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

THIS GUY'S lucky he doesn't get flicked over the top, after losing the back end of his Yamaha YZF-R1 on a twisty section of mountain road. He looks pretty miffed at the result; we think he got away lightly. It could have been soooo much worse if the rear tyre had gripped and lobbed the rider over the top.

Hayes to Race in Valencia GP for Injured Colin Edwards

Mon, 31 Oct 2011

Josh Hayes will make his MotoGP racing debut at the Nov. 6 Valencia Grand Prix in Spain as an injury replacement for fellow American Colin Edwards. Already set to test the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 M1 after the season-ending race, Hayes was a logical choice to ride in Edwards’ place.
