For 2005 Yamaha gave the R6 more horse power, a fully-adjustable inverted fork with 41mm tubes and wound up engineering a nearly new motorcycle due to 
new camshafts, bigger throttle bodies, improved fuel injection, revised intake funnels resulting in a smoother, fatter powerband with three more horsepower at 13,000 rpm, 310mm front disc brakes, radial calipers and a radial master cylinder to even further exploit the R6’s amazing front-end feel,a redesign of the main frame to accommodate new rear suspension linkage and more.

This 2005 Yamaha R6 with a low 8609 miles is one of Yamaha's most popular sellers. Outstanding good looks and tons of tire burning power. This bike runs, rides and shifts like new. The fairings are in great shape and free from any damage or scratches. The tires look good and still have tons of tread. We just performed a fresh oil change, replaced the air filter and installed new plugs. This R6 is ready to ride today. After a close inspection we did find some scratches on the bikes left side on the exhaust canister, frame slider and mirror and some peeling paint and corrosion on the front rim but other than that this bike looks sharp. The three-time AMA Pro Racing SuperBike Champion will be protected by RS Taichi racing leathers and gloves while aboard his Yamaha YZF-R1 SuperBike. After a long-standing relationship with Teknic, his previous protective gear provider who ceased operation last year, Josh had an opportunity to go in a new direction.

2013 Yamaha YZF-R6 Color and Graphic Options Announced

Those of you hoping for an updated Yamaha YZF-R6 will have to wait for at least another year, as Yamaha announced the 599cc sportbike is returning for 2013 unchanged except for new colors and graphics. Yamaha last updated the R6 in 2008, equipping it with the company’s Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-T) variable-length intake system. The lack of any significant updates to the 2013 R6 must be disappointing to Yamaha fans, especially as the color updates were announced the same day Kawasaki is expected to reveal a new 636cc ZX-6R.
