HAD FRAME SANDBLASTED AND POWDER COATED A SATIN BLACK, ALSO SANDBLASTED AND POWDER COATED THE WHEELS SAME COLOR.THE TOP HALF OF MOTOR WAS REDONE WITH NEW SEALS AND GASKETS HONED, MOTOR IS .025 OVER SIZED.MOTOR IS CLEAN AND HAS BEEN SANDBLASTED AND POWDER COATED SATIN BLACK. HAS CLUBMAN BARS. SEAT WAS CUSTOM MADE AND PROFESSIONALLY BUILT WITH SLIDE ON AND LOCK IN PLACE FABRICATION.A SPECIALLY DESIGNED BATTERY BOX HAS BEEN FABRICATED TO HOLD ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. THIS BIKE IS OIL-GAS MIX. CARBS ARE COMPLETELY REBUILT. BRAND NEW TIRES LESS THAN 2 MILES ON THEM. NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS. BIKE IS JETTED FOR 180. NEW DG EXHAUST. OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

Intermot 2012: Yamaha Unveils Crossplane Triple Concept

Yamaha announced it is developing a new three-cylinder engine using a crossplane crankshaft inherited from the company’s YZR-M1 MotoGP bike and its YZF-R1 sportbike. Yamaha says the new Triple will play an important role in the company’s future. The Japanese manufacturer unveiled a concept sculpture with the new three-cylinder engine at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.

In a time where air-cooled icons like Harley-Davidson, Indian, BMW‘s boxer engine and the Ducati Monster have all embraced the radiator, it’s a bit surprising to know Yamaha is still offering the XJR1300 in Europe. Featuring the world’s largest-displacement air-cooled Inline-Four engine in production, the XJR1300 lives on in 2015 with a new custom-inspired look and a cafe racer variant. The 2015 XJR1300 was inspired by a custom from builder Keino called “Rhapsody in Blue” as part of Yamaha’s Yard Built program.
