Yamaha Other description

This is a nice, almost all orginal, motorcycle. It  runs and rides great.  Everything works like it should.  The blue paint is orginal and is in pretty good shape. The front fender and the chain guard look as if they have been painted -they look good. The original speedometer showed 5,445 miles and had a cracked glass so I replaced it with a new one which now shows 15 miles. I took the top end off of the motor to clean the carbon and check it out. I found it to be in great shape. It has standard bore and I put new Yamaha rings on it just to freshen up the motor. The seat is in great shape.  All the chrome is in good condition except on the gas tank ( it has some slight pits and a couple of dents on the right side which are shown in the pictures).  The exhaust is beautiful and looks almost new.  As far as I can tell, the only thing missing are the plastic fender tips on both fenders.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.  Please, serious bidders only.

Lucassen is a man who can be surely called a maniac. He has been traveling for a long time. In 1995, he went on a three-year round-the-world route on a Honda Fireblade and covered over 160 thousand kilometers, and in 2001 he started on a Yamaha YZF-R1 and traveled about 250 thousand kilometers in five years.

Honda and Yamaha Pledge Support to Typhoon Victims in Philippines

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Honda and Yamaha each offered aid to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan which struck the Philippines earlier this month. Initial estimates put the death tool at over 10,000 but Philippine President Benigno Aquino says the actual number maybe closer to 2,500. Still, the United Nations says more than 11 million people were affected by the typhoon, with about 673,000 displaced from their homes.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.
